FMAB Ep 22

I don't know man...
Cookie Cutter

FMAB Ep 22

Comments

When the show is about political divisions and human conflict I don't think Tony's nearly as invested as when it's alchemy fantasy theory crafting and there's way more of that as the show goes on so I'm not worried. I think he'll enjoy things more as more things build up and are revealed. The truth within the truth if you will...

I seen both. Either way they are around 20 years old. FMAB just sticks to the manga and has innovated much.

I just think the main plot really shines once the location changes with the new characters and revelations that occur. Late twenties are good for the story definitely but I think getting out of Central definitely helps the story not seem as stale. As i mentioned it’s a case of these episodes not being as exciting in the moment but this episode in particular helps develop Scar and Winry later to make things more impactful.

I'm watching some episodes, and i would say it will get interesting even sooner than that. But yeah, it is a slow burn as it takes its time to build up plot.

This was once the highest rated anime series on a famous review app/website. I no longer feel bad dropping it after ep 30 or so

Imo the reason modern anime are way shorter isn't that there's less going on, it's just not as drawn out as it was back in the day, the pacing of old shows is really tough

I mean as someone who’s never watched 03 I understand the story fine. If you mean more out of universe knowing the background I suppose I just don’t have much knowledge of 03 personally

Tragic that Brotherhood is out of context on this platform. However, it does make sense, considering that the shows which used FMAB as their mold were viewed first. It is like viewing new skate competitions then viewing the older ones. Such is life. I'm still thankful that Tony found anime and it's music.

I feel like the reason that FMA can seem cookie cutter at times, is because it was so well done back in the day that most new gen anime draw tropes from it. So watching FMA after all the other anime you've watched, I can definitely see how it would seem bland in comparison.

Belac

I guess Tony will open bottle of champagne after the last episode to celebrate the show is over. Relatable. FMAB is not my cup of tea. Have always prefered FMA03. But steel yourself, MadMusician! This is for Art and your patrons who voted for this title! Lesser men could have broken but we are about to destroy Status Quo and beat the Organization!

The trope of anime characters squeezing their fists is definitely something I feel could happen less often in anime 💀. It's so overdone.

it's may better to watch after all is finished. Because there seems to be a time difference between the worlds, naturally. But this ch is much more interesting than I expected... so it's...welcome‼ I'll watch it while I still have the energy to get short sleep, and it makes me lose weight, maybe I'll get slimmer body.

It’s definitely is a slow burn for sure I feel you. It’s one of those that improves the further in you go. I’d say ep 32 begins an arc that is definitely more interesting than a lot of this. It’s also a show where after finishing it i appreciated the early eps more as it set up stuff to come.
