The visuals are nice and the first opening of VS is great, but this feels like it's trying to hard while lacking what made the first special and feeling like a weak copy. I prefer the second or third opening for the combination of music and visuals.

2024-08-19 08:21:17 +0000 UTCTotally random but the scene in this episode with the two guys yelling at each other and the one trying to get them to keep it down or shut up always stresses me the hell out. I have a weird recurring nightmare where I'm in a dark place with a few people I know in the dream and they start talking louder and louder despite me constantly telling them to shut up and I just get a ever building sense of dread that something awful will happen as they get louder and continue to ignore me until I wake up. Yeah its random but seriously that scene just really really stresses me out because of that. Also I totally agree the new OP song is way overproduced but it's imagery is tied for my favorite next to season 2's first OP imagery. Lot's to really dig into thematically and the direction/animation for both of them is incredible.

Paradox grew on me and wasn't good at first (check out the full version later). I thought Dark Crow was alright but its not my favorite work of MAN WITH A MISSION (they sound better in other types of songs imo) River was the worst by far and its not even close and MUKANJYO needs no introduction lol

On top of that, it's pretty rare for non-clergy members of this time period to be able to read. Snake has a lot going on with his character just from that book.
