185km Arctic Ultra starts tomorrow - track me!

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow is the big day! From Sunday until Wednesday, if everything goes well, I’ll be running 185km / 115 miles with Vilk in Swedish Lapland. We have 4 days to finish the race and I will be carrying all our food, supplies and gear in my pulk.

Hey everyone!

Here are some snaps from the last few days I’d love to share with you. My social media posts are delayed by a few days, so I thought I’d give you a real time update :)

I’m making pretty great progress towards the Arctic Circle at the moment and I might actually reach it tomorrow. Beyond that, there’s still a very long way to go to the North Cape (the northernmost point you can drive to in Europe).

I’m writing this first dispatch lying on a narrow berth somewhere deep inside the guts of a ferry crossing the windy, choppy Baltic Sea. I knew that the first ten weeks of 2024 would be madness. I mean - I signed up for it.

I agreed to take part in a Toyota TV commercial in Morocco. Then I signed up to film my third episode with the BBC Travel Show in Slovenia, two days later. Soon after, an opportunity came up to film with NatGeo in Iceland a week after Slovenia (!). And in the midst of it all, I was preparing an expedition to the north of Norway, and training to run a 185-kilometre ultra marathon in the Arctic Circle. ...

What Vilk and I have been up to in Italy so far 🏔️

As I promised to all of you during the Patreon live meet-up, I'm sharing a few photos from the last two weeks in Italy:

- A few photos from my recent hikes and runs with Vilk! The setting is the Gran Sasso National Park, with its dramatic peaks and fantastic weather. We had one day of snow high up on the mountain, but other than that, it's been sunny and beautiful.

- In one of the photos, there's a building behind us: a local rifugio, or a mountain shelter, run by the Italian Alpi...
