New Anime for Tier 1 👀

I will be finishing up Hells Paradise season 1 very soon. We will need a new title for tier 1 reactions. I'm very curious about Vinland Saga but also know you all have a lot of ideas and suggestions. Are there any more recent titles that dropped in Spring that I need to hit?
Let me know what you think. Thank you!

Comments

Vinland Saga is pretty amazing. Kinda depends on what you are looking for. Aside from that I would look at Nier Automata.

DMV Makoto

I've said this before, but I highly recommend you give Overlord a try. Imagine you're a DM, and you're now living in a fantasy world as your main villain you put against your players.

smileybones

Gundam witch from mercury

Peacock

Spring season and also the current season was very heavy on sequels to shows you haven't seen yet. Like Demon Slayer etc.

Auks

Fate/Zero for mature fantasy story with soundtrack from Yuki Kajiura. Opening themes by LiSA and Kalafina.

Auks

easily vinland saga

Matthew Mc Fadden

Vinland saga fo sho

Napka

Bro if you haven't watched it. Check out Space Dandy

PervyPastry

Vinland Saga is good but I also suggest to take in consideration Jujutsu Kaisen which is a really good anime with amazing ost, openings and endings

Springer

Vinland Saga is a grat choice and you couldn't go wrong with it, but if you really want another show as recommendation I would recommend Made in abyss, like Vinland it is one of my absolute favourite shows, it excels in World building and has one of the best scores I've ever heard.

Klarin Black

As many others have said, if you’re curious on Vinland saga you really can’t go wrong. Season 2 just finished and it was somehow even better than season 1. I’ve seen like 200+ anime and Vinland is top 3-5 for sure.

Jarod S

Try Made in Abyss

Gael

Made in Abyss for beautiful music.

Seris

mashiro no oto or "those snow white notes" is a really great music themed anime based on shamisen.

ZTQuick

YOU NEED TO WATCH MASHIRO NO OTO

ZTQuick

Jujutsu kaisen man

Aidy

I have 2 suggestions but neither of them started in spring season of this year. First is Jujutsu Kaisen like other people have been suggesting since season 2 is currently airing right now, but I think it’d be best to start from season 1. It’s less graphic and crude in nature compared to chainsaw man but the action is top tier. Also my personal favorite series. My 2nd suggestion is Kill La Kill. Although I’m not sure if the premise is a good fit for your channel theme, in my opinion, the animation style, the voice acting, and the soundtracks are all 10/10. Id definitely look at what it’s about first though lol. And both of these shows are 24 eps not including season 2 of JJK

RamsessZ

The piano ost’s been going crazy recently

RamsessZ

Encouraging you to go with your gut and watch Vinland Saga! Its a mature, well told story with dynamic characters. Would love to see your reactions!

Sofomo

Agreed Jujutsu Kaisen would be a good one as well

YikesBradley

Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen dropped recently. In one of your multi-anime reactions, you said that the opening of Jujutsu Kaisen (by Eve) made you want to watch the show. It's also an extremely popular anime so I think it should have wide appeal to everyone on the patreon.

Jake

I wouldn't mind that.

Jet Man

Vinland Saga is a must such a beautiful story especially s2

AussieBoy

You have such a good balance between action/music shows right now. Vinland fits in beautifully!

Kegs

Vinland saga is such a great show. Also recommend jujutsu kaisen, and kids on the slope great music on the last one.

Square Block

You'll never regret watching vinland saga!! Especially season 2. Such a good show.

Mirrorline

Vinland is one of my top 3, highly recommend.

Katakuriko

Saga of Tanya the Evil . It’s definitely a fun short fun anime it also has a really great english dub

Juan Ramirez

Vouching for Vinland Saga, and Jujutsu Kaisen as runner up, both are well well thought our series' in completely different ways

A37

Vinland saga would be a great pick but if youre not feeling that then I'd recommend jujutsu kaisen. The second season is currently on going so it'd likely boost you in the algorithm if you care about that sort of thing.

Cmonti

heavenly delusion

Mr Rys

Vinland saga is a good anime and I wouldn't mind seeing your reaction. However, when you have the chance you should watch Overlord or Goblin Slayer, only if you like dark fantasy and like to dive deep into lore.

J.SI.12

I would love to see jujutsu kaisen or demon slayer.

Kameron De

Definitely excited if it Vinland saga. Especially when reaching to season 2 phenomenal characters development.

MW3InfectedROCK

Yeah, replacing it with a 13 episode show makes sense.

Jet Man

Eighty Six is good, you can also check out Vivy Fluorite Eye's Song, only 13 episodes compared to 48+ for Vinland Saga and Jujutsu Kaisen, which I think are better suited to replace long series like Death Note or Hibike Euphonium.

CyberJokerWTF

I'd personally recommend RE:Zero, bu Jujutsu Kaisen is probably a better pick for a general audience.

Renegade

Vinland Saga or Jujutsu man, these two are incredible.

ML Snow

You gotta watch Violet Evergarden

Hugo Abilleira

Jujutsu Kaisen if you want to complete the "Dark Three" (referenced as Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Hell's Paradise) Otherwise Vinland Saga would be good, but also this last spring season Heavenly Delusion was one of the top anime voted so that would be great to see

Arsenic805

Vinland saga Or ranking of kings would be nice what is a bit like game of thrones as an anime’s

Ryuk

Vinland saga is fantastic and I think season 2 is better than season 1 (which is somehow a hot take.) Not to say season 1 is bad, season 1 is great, but season 2 is excellent. Also Jujutsu Kaisen is another one you should look at doing soon. Other people mentioned 86 and I enjoyed season 1 quite a bit, but the perspective character switches at a certain point which kinda killed my investment. Not to say what they did was bad per se, I just wanted more of the first character's story, which they kinda gloss over after the perspective switch. Basically, I felt it dropped the ball on a ton of what could've been good story, which is why I was disappointed by season 2. I'm waiting until more of the story comes out to hopefully fill in those missing pieces before I recommend it to anyone.

Batman's Pet Goldfish

Truee, Sawano didnt hold back at all with the OSTs

skrrt

VINLAND SAGA

Casioka

Vinland Saga is one of my recent favorites. The animation, story, and characters are all petty good. I see others mentioning Made in Abyss which is another interesting show. Very unique setting and great soundtrack. However, the content of the show can be quite disturbing. I still enjoyed it, but it's not an easy show to recommend

Bardimayis

I would recommend jujutsu kaisen, season 2 just started and it’s AMAZING, the action in it it’s the best

Cesar Ortiz

Vinland Saga 🙌

Cswerve

Heavenly Delusion! I absolutely love the music and the story is just crazy and full of twists. I think you will enjoy

Raghad

Sakamichi no Aporon, pretty good music anime

Rain Wu

JJK! Season 2 just started and it's epic. Lots of cool fights. Great characters. Incredible music! You'll really enjoy it. Also, it's part of a dark trio of shonen which includes the other two you've already seen Hell's Paradise and chainsaw man kind of around the same premise

makotheQ60

It has amazing music indeed, I personally don't know why people are recommending made in abyss to someone who is not to familiar with anime. He's going to get soo weirded out by all the child sexual stuff

Szayel H

From the Spring season I don't think there were any new shows other than Oshi no Ko and Hell's Paradise that were big and not continuations of older shows. There was Heavenly Delusion which was new and great but not for everyone. Vinland Saga is great and definitely one of the highest on my list of recommendations for anyone to watch. It's especially perfect for people who haven't watched anime or are new to it as it does not have any anime specific cliches and feels like a western movie/show. Mob Psycho 100 is another series which I think you might enjoy, it recently aired it's final season and is now complete with 37 total episodes. It's more on the comedy side but it has great OST and action sequences whenever it does them. I see Made in Abyss recommended and that's another personal favorite but I usually avoid recommending it to others due to some of the themes in the show being quite disturbing.

Enjo

I'd be so excited if he watched 86

DeludedDonut

I was about to say, he doesn't have to watch the show, but the opening is by the same group that did the opening for Death Parade (Bradio)

Jet Man

Definitely Eighty-six, You'll love the soundtrack

Loayza

The Legendary anime "Cowboy Bebop"

JackTheDaniels

Eighty-six Soundtrack is amazing, obviously the anime too

Loayza

I think you'd for sure enjoy Vinland, very mature story telling with great characters/pay off. 86 fits the same bill, with music produced by Sawano.

Danyul

Paripi Koumei

WuYixiang

+1 Terror in Resonance and +1 Parasyte. Both absolutely amazing, and I quite like the music in Terror in Resonance.

Stephen Kyle

As someone already said 86, it's a beatfiull show and with amazing music and story. And judging by your Hells Paradise reaction you will also enjoy the more bloody aspects of it. From current shows Zom100 is a really fun watch with currently 3 Episodes released.

Daning

Lol don't actually watch it, I just love the opening theme, shows not that good

Seraphin

Well some short anime that come to mind Erased 12 ep Terror in resonance 11 ep Madoka magica 12 ep Parasyte 24 ep But Vineland saga would be the best option for sure!

Szayel H

Reborn as a Vending Machine, I now Wander the Dungeon.

Seraphin

Either Helck or Zom100 would be great, I think! Fewer people are covering Helck, so maybe you might pick it up?

Chris Hee

Zom100 if you want the best new show of the current season. Good zombie Apocalypse show so far. But if we're going by last season, Heavenly Delusion is still my favorite.

Jet Man

Made in abyss or 86

DeludedDonut

This is a sequel from the spring season, but definitely an anime worth checking out. Ancient Magus' Bride. 2 seasons and 2 sets of OVAs.
