Its cliche and abit sad but when someone you care for the most dies, especially in the way like this. You would rather follow them then stay in a place without them. But then again this is just overanalyzing

Do a search for song covers on it and you will see how much popularity it has. We heard this piece early in the series (episode 2), but it holds such a different weight to it at the end compared to the beginning, even though it was the exact same piece.
