If it were capitalism Denji would be getting a competitive rate with other devil hunters which he is not.... most devil hunters actually do pretty well. Capitalism is just a system to keep greed in check... people forget that greed exists because they want to humanity to be nice and fluffy.

2022-11-10 00:06:18 +0000 UTCyour camera set up was great! i’m stoked you’re actually watching it, the story is outstanding and mappa is animating it really well. just something to add for better clarity, in the anime pochita says like “i’ll give you my heart” but in the manga it’s closer to “i’ll become your heart” so it’s like he’s still in there and i think that’s really sweet. looking forward to the next one !

2022-11-09 19:48:04 +0000 UTCjust wanted to say that when they talk about currency in anime it is usually japanese yen of which the conversion to dollars is 100 yen = $1. So 400,000 yen for that one tomato devil would be $4,000. The conversion is actually even less I believe but its easier to remember this way. So when Denji had 1,800 yen left over thats around $18 I think.

I'm particularly fond of the song that plays during the fight against the zombie devil called "Edge of Chainsaw" by Kensuke Ushio with guitar work from Hisako Tabuchi
