Hello, hello! Welcome to the big dev blog of shame! Shame, shame, shame!

Banshee basically worked on adapting/remaking most of the remaining outfits, and whatever assets Vane needed for the build!

Unfortunately, implementing all the accessories didn’t go as smoothly as Vane thought it would go. He ended up with various unexpected bugs that forced him to change a fair amount of the code that handles the characters of the game. Integrating the new changes without breaking save files also proved a bit of a challenge, and then there was just the sheer number of new menu assets that had to be implemented. TL;DR it’s taking longer than Vane expected to implement the new features, they were almost all ready last weekend and he could have rushed forward and finished it all, but we would be releasing it without doing proper testing and that would just turn into a bigger headache down the line, so Vane decided that it was best to hold off on the release for another week. He’s very sorry about it.

Finally, this has been the longest development cycle yet and the reason why we have refrained from doing sweeping system changes and from implementing big new systems into the game. We have a fair amount of Patreon traffic that is just people becoming patrons to get the latest build and leaving immediately after, so staying so long without releasing a build not only loses us patrons but also means those transitory patrons don’t come our way.

Honestly, we always felt too scared to do long development cycles to implement these more drastic changes to the game for those reasons. But we want to take this moment to thank all of you who have stuck with us through this and so much more, everyone who has been supporting us for a long time, and no matter what, you are the real MVP. We simply wouldn’t have the confidence to do what we’re doing if it weren't for all of your support and encouragement. You are all some of the finest folks we have ever met and we really can’t thank you enough for all you have done for us. So instead, we’ll continue working hard to give you all the best games we possibly can!
