2023-01-12 15:24:28 +0000 UTCYep, that was pretty much what I was gonna say and then some. Also if you are afraid of losing some people for making higher tiers I'll let you know that I'm alright with a $10 or even a $15 tier. Your work is amazing, consistent, and looks very professional. Stifledyawn pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one.

2023-01-11 23:16:00 +0000 UTCAlso, I probably don't need to bring this point up but just in case: don't charge a ridiculous price that doesn't match the quality of your work. I've seen people charging $50 for what's essentially baby's first blender render once every few months, and you don't need to guess what their patron count is

2023-01-11 23:12:34 +0000 UTCAnd I understand the fear of asking your supporters to pay more, but it's important for people to remember, that without support creators can't keep doing what they do at a reasonable or consistent rate. I've seen plenty of my favorite creators retire over the past decade due to lack of interest. Being too humble can be a curse as well. Hopefully you can get established properly early on before that becomes a possibility. I can't promise any success from my suggestions though, so good luck

2023-01-11 23:05:31 +0000 UTCIf you want to play it safe, from my experience in supporting various creators over the years, what most people who create renders and animations do is: - offer watermarked and/or standard definition renders (and sometimes animations) at the cheapest tier or- - offer animations, whether watermarked or not, at a slightly higher tier - offer unwatermarked and/or high definition renders/animation at a higher priced tier - offer an organized archive for ease of download access, which does create a risk for leakers but there are solutions to that issue What you should NEVER do: - create limited time content that can never be downloaded again after a certain point - arbitrarily pick a handful of similar images/animations from a set to create artificial low tier/high tier "packs" - make things too inconvenient to access, like requiring an account on an obscure site But as a creator, what's most important is staying consistent in your uploads. You can't expect massive support if your timeline seems dodgy; get a clear pattern going so that prospective supporters understand your investment in your creations
