Author News Letter #1

I've decided to do this in more of a big letter when I have a few things to announce to condense everything.

#1.  Changes Ahead For $1 Patrons

I've been discussing and looking over things with Selkie, perhaps you've heard of him (pretty big Web Serial Author), and he made a list of a lot of things I should change.

For one, Patreon KILLS creators with processing charges and fees on $1 and has highly recommended I move it up to $3.

Naturally, I don't want just to spring it on people; I want to give my current $1 patrons a chance to keep the same price for over a year.  So, if you wish to remain at $1, you can do the annual $1 charge for like... $11 or something and have it for a year at that lower price.

I want to give people a grace period to do this, so I will be making this change on 06/05/2022 and will be making it clear on the $1 sign-up tier after posting this.

Sorry, but after looking at the processing fees... yeah, it's terrible.

#2.  Wednesday Poll Chapters Moved to $10

Many of the $10 and $15 patrons mentioned that voting when options exclusive to those higher tiers are available—such as Mystic—it is setting them up to fail because the lower tiers have no idea what it is or why people want it.

#3.  No Wednesday Chapter Tomorrow/Today.

Tomorrow/Today's random/poll chapter will be used to catch up on some things due to my car trouble, and I will be posting the poll for next week's Wednesday chapter after this.

#4.  ATM Cover Artwork

I am still waiting.  I haven't heard from the artist in over a month... concerning, yes... the second artist that has ghosted me, but they are busy, so perhaps he'll respond this week.  I sent a message asking if everything was okay.

#5.  Closing

Thank you all for the tremendous support you have given me.  Many of you offer thoughts on ideas or changes that have made the various series I write many times better.  I am so thankful for the community that we're building and the growth it has had on me as an author.

I've come a very long way since I first started writing ATM on Raise The Dead, and some of you have been with me the entire time... years!
