It could be that Janice owns her own home rather then renting an apartment, so having Adrian stay with her would be pretty much zero inconvenience to her. As opposed to staying with Hilde with would, as stated raise her rent by quite a bit. This also shows she's as much a friend to Adrian as she is to Hilde by helping both of them.

I hope Janice is a true friend, and this is her acid test to prove to Adrian that she wants to stay with Hildegard because maybe she really does feel a romantic pull toward the wolf like Hilde desires Adrian. Or is Janice really trying to sneak Adrian away from Hildegard? I hope not.

Hmm, question is, is that how this story will go, or is the narrative point of this offer giving Hilde an opportunity to say "No really Adrian, I'd rather you stayed with me" so Adrian can't feel like Hilde's still offering help out of a sense of pity or obligation. OR if Adrian does change roommates, because we know Hilde has classically always liked living alone, will that be a reason for Hilde to realize "Shit I actually miss having her around all the time oh no"
Or maybe I'm way off base my predictions on these things have been wrong a lot!

Either that, or she cares about Hilda enough to help her and her new girlfriend out. ๐

Living with a high-powered attractive lesbian too intimidating? Why not go live with an even MORE high-powered attractive lesbian
