There are apparently some pretty big issues with the message-saving system in 0.27 that I somehow hadn't detected before posting the build. They're breaking the entire save/load system for some players and honestly I can't even begin to understand what's going wrong, so I thought it would be best if I just remove the links to 0.27 for now and try again tomorrow. Sorry everyone. I really need to get some beta testers or something.

So basically these minor updates are all I can really do right now as I wait for the assets to be finished. Otherwise I'd just be sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting to be able to finish the new chapter.

2020-08-04 18:21:34 +0000 UTCNo. I could be finished with Chapter 3 in about a month if I had all the assets I needed. The problem is we have several artists working at different speeds to produce the assets for the new chapter, and there's really no way to speed that process up since they're commissioned artists with other projects to focus on as well.

Rather than introducing very minor content updates every month, would you be able to complete chapter 3 faster if you concentrated on that and perhaps only updated every other month?
