Feel you Intuos not big enough? 板子不夠大，畫線條老是對不準怎麼辦？

An interesting trick, when I switched from Cintiq 22 HD to an Intuos, the first thing I noticed was that the tablet feels not big enough, even though it is already an L size tablet. And the XL size tablet is too big for my workspace.

So, how to improve the drawing precision on a smaller tablet? I found two options:

[ Precision Mode ]

Wacom driver, by default, comes with a "Precision Mode". However the adjustment range is too small which doesn't cover my needs.

[ Custom Mapping range ]

Wacom tablet -> choose the pen you're using -> Mapping tab -> Screen Area -> Portion... -> define your preferred mapping range

Wacom tablet -> choose the pen you're using -> Pen tab -> Assign pen button -> Tablet -> Display Toggle

Using this method, I can custom the range to any size, and easily switching between default/custom by pressing a pen button.

Note: While switching to a custom mapping, you won't be able to reach some part of the screen. So it's important to set a button for switching back to default.

[ Multiple custom ranges ]

And another hack! If you have 2+ Wacom pens (needs to be different models, like Pro Pen, Pro Pen 2, Grip Pen, Art Pen...etc. ), each pen has an INDEPENDENT pressure/eraser/button/mapping settings. So let's say you have 3 kinds of pens, you can switch between 3 different mapping areas (=custom precisions) while drawing on your favorite painting software :D

正解就是買個大板子(廢話)，但大板子很貴又占空間。上月我從Cintiq 22HD練習如何回歸板子派，首先感覺到的就是作畫範圍似乎有點小...我有L和XL尺寸的板子，但XL實在太卡位。

所以，該如何改良使用較小板子時的作畫精準度？我想到兩招：

[ 精準模式 ]

Wacom驅動自帶「精準模式」，可調整的範圍很有限，對我來說不太合用。

[ 自訂鏡射範圍 ]

Wacom數位板內容 -> 選擇畫筆 -> 鏡射 -> 螢幕範圍 -> 部份... -> 自定義鏡射的範圍

Wacom數位板內容 -> 選擇畫筆 -> 畫筆 -> 設定畫筆按鍵功能 -> 數位板 -> 切換畫面

使用這招，範圍想調多大就有多大。若將畫筆其中一個按鈕設置成「切換畫面」，就能輕鬆透過按壓畫筆按鈕、在預設的全範圍/自定義範圍中切換。

注意：切換到自定義範圍時，畫筆將無法觸及定義範圍以外的區域，所以務必將畫板或筆刷的按鈕其中一鍵設為切換畫面。

[ 多種鏡射範圍 ]

另外有一招，如果你筆太多(?)，而且剛好都是不同型號的筆(比方Pro Pen,、Pro Pen 2,、壓力感應筆、美術筆等等)，每支筆的壓力/橡擦/按鈕/鏡射設定都是「獨立」的！比方說你若有三支不同型號的筆，那麼你就可以在同一個繪圖軟體上，使用三種自定義鏡射範圍~
