Remake of《Possessors》舊誌重繪計畫

In recent years, I have been stuck in a trap of improving the appeal of clean line art and forget the importance of confidently drawing. Recently I stumped upon a workflow that finally improving my drawing speed, I want to take this opportunity to practice more, and the best plan I have now is to re-draw one of my DanCre stories. Most of it has been published in《Possessors》, a 2016 doujin that only contains readable sketches, and some clips were cut due to being too rough to be read. The 2021 redraw version will have ALL clips.

So, there will be changes to future rewards:

[ Tier $2 ]
Shared on posts, available for 30 days:
- A5 size, 150 dpi (1240p) redraw version comics. 6-8 pages per month. The posts will be frequently updated once a new page or a scene is ready.
- 2016 version pages.
No time-limation, occasional, only share when available:
- Some extra commentaries of stories or the making process.
- Brushes, concepts, panel plans, etc.

[ Tier $5 ]
Shared on the post, available for 6 months:
- All Tier $2 rewards, but available for 6 months.
- A5 size, 150 dpi ink version + no dialogue version
- 4~6 steps of every page (sketch > line-work > greyscale shading > half-tone)

[ Tier $30 ]
All rewards above without time-limitation.

[ Publish on social media ]
I will share comic pages of smaller-res publicly on Tumblr or Twitter, 1+ weeks after the patron-only updates. 

[ Billing system explained ]
This page has been running under the rule of 'only billing patrons when the month reward can be fulfilled'. And it should also apply to comic rewards, so the system will work like this:
- The June billing cycle will be paused.
- I'll update 6-8 pages from May 26th - June 30th.
- If the monthly reward can be fulfilled, the July billing cycle will be processed for the June rewards.

It will only be fair that the first charge being processed AFTER every release of 6-8 pages. This means the June billing cycle will be paused again. ;D;

// My pledge is not for supporting the new plan.
Some patrons might pledge only for what I've announced on May 10th, and don't want to support the new plan. If you've pledged before May 24th, you can cancel your membership and issue a May pledge refund. Sorry for the wait and inconvenience >_<

// Can I receive the 2016 cover art reward?
On my page, illustration rewards are sent 'AFTER' billing cycle. Which means it won't be sent before the next billing cycle (July 1st). So the cover art reward will be sent for patrons who are billed during July. 

// Is your old DanCre story NOT finished yet?
Correct. The story of Possessors doesn't have an ending. However all existing clips are 90+ pages in total. It's a big waste to be given up.

// When will you finish the new re-write DanCre story?
I'm actually not sure... It is difficult to not have a frequent update schedule for a small artist gaining support. Maybe by sharing old content I can have some feedbacks that inspire me to write new plots. Admittedly, my plan is not solid. But I want to pick up something closer to share for now.

// Will you do more illustrations?
I still want to! But in the next few weeks, I will focus on doing comics first. I might not be able to make any illustrations until July. 

// How many pages can you update per month?
It could be about 6-8 pages per month. It will take a few months for me to figure out my average speed. Admittedly again, it's not much. I'll see if it's possible to release some extra drawings as bonus rewards, or improving the updating speed.

// Can I receive the PDF comic?
The pdf is for $5/$30 patrons, and will only be made once all clips are released. So, the way of spending the least to get the fullest, is to wait for me to draw all 90+ pages and then drop $5 for it. However please keep in mind that Patreon is not a shopping cart. This is a place for artists to have continuous support. 

// I can hardly find the specific reward that I want to download.
I feel your pain! It's hard to efficiently navigate Patreon rewards. I'm planning to update my own website (off-record.net) as an index/information menu of all current Patreon rewards. Since I can only prepare it in my free time, this might take 2-3 months to make.

最近誤打誤撞摸索出可以更快畫好漫畫內頁的方法，打鐵趁熱，想盡快拿手邊現有的腳本做練習，而手邊篇幅較常也較完整的草稿/分鏡，就是2016年出版的草稿漫畫本《Possessors》，時隔多年，我終於得到可以把草稿變成完稿的能力了嗚嗚嗚。2016年版僅收錄部份片段(部份沒被收錄的原因是因為畫面太潦草)，2021年的重製版將會重繪所有片段。

總之，今天開始的重繪舊誌計畫，獎勵辦法詳細如下：

[ 二鎂會員]
從專頁文章下載，有效期三十天：
- A5 size, 150 dpi (1240p) 重製版完稿，每月6-8頁。文章在當月內持續更新，一旦有新內頁或橋段完成，就會立刻上傳。
- 2016草稿版內頁。
從專頁文章下載，無時間限制，非每月獎勵，僅在有的時候才會提供：
- 故事角色設定、繪製流程解說等。
- 筆刷、概念圖、分鏡稿等。

[ 五鎂會員]
從專頁文章下載，有效期六個月：
- 所有二鎂會員獎勵，有效期延長至六個月。
- A5 size, 150 dpi無對白完稿+無對白線稿。
- 每張內頁的4-6個過程步驟。(草稿>線稿>灰階>網點)

[ 三十鎂會員]
所有上述獎勵，無時間限制。

[ 公開版本 ]
部份內頁完稿將以較小解析度公開在推特、湯博、噗浪等平台。公開時間比Patreon晚一週以上。

[ 結帳週期如何運作 ]
本專頁將維持「只在確定能完成當月獎勵的情況下與各位收款」原則。
- 五月份的完稿未滿6頁，所以暫停六月初之結帳週期。
- 在五月至六月間持續上傳完稿，至少更新6頁以上之內容。
- 若在六月底前完成當月目標，將在七月初的結帳週期與會員收取款項。

也就是說，確定會暫停六月初的結帳週期(窮哭

這次中途改獎勵確實不妥，不好意思！在本月24號之前加入之會員，可申請退還五月份之贊助額；如需要退款，請先取消會籍之後，再提出退款請求。

// 2016版的封面圖獎勵呢？
本專頁只在「結帳週期之後」發送插畫類獎勵。下一期的結帳為七月一日，所以封面圖獎勵之發送將順延至七月，發送對象：a)已加入並於七月初結帳之既有二鎂以上會員，b)七月間加入之二鎂以上新會員。

// 之前好像有說過，Possessors的故事沒有完結？
沒錯囧。這個故事沒有結局，但既有的分鏡超過90頁，實在捨不得直接打入冷宮Q_Q

// 原本說好要重寫的劇本呢？
還是會挖零碎的時間繼續寫，進行本計畫、也算是在幫下個故事的準備掙取更多時間。缺少經常性的更新，可能會讓專頁經營不下去，因此不得不先濟出庫存分鏡來完稿，這點還望各位諒解。

// 還會繼續生插圖嗎？
目前還是有這個打算，但未來幾週內會先專心畫漫畫、確定自己的步調，在七月之前可能都無暇畫插圖。

// 每月有幾頁漫畫上載？
目前只敢保守估計，約為6-8頁左右，就職業漫畫標準來說確實太慢。若時間允許，我可能會提供一些塗鴉、練習做為額外獎勵，或是提升當月上載的內頁數量。

// 有沒有提供PDF電子書檔？
PDF檔僅在所有內頁(可能超過90頁)發表完畢之後，提供給五鎂/三十鎂會員。所以最經濟的贊助法，是等我畫完所有內頁，並製作PDF獎勵後，再贊助五鎂購得電子書。但還是提醒一點，Patreon平台創立旨在讓粉絲持續地支持創作者，並非一次性消費用的購物車。

// Patreon好難逛，我老是找不到要在哪裡下載想要的獎勵。
數年來我深深感覺到Patreon的難用處，所以一直有計畫要自己寫一個網站，做為所有獎勵的索引頁與說明頁。因為這個計畫比較繁雜，我也只能抽空自力架站，最少會需要2-3個月準備，在這之前只好麻煩各位、如果找不到獎勵、請先擅用留言或私訊(汗)
