Scaley demon WIP + Reward delayed to May 10th

First of all, I'll spare you from reading the tech nonsense. So my PC recovered and I only need to replace the system drive, and thankfully a new SSD is a lot cheaper compared to 5 years ago! 

The progress of scaley demon illustration is going well so far, I figure it can be done in early May. So the May billing cycle will NOT be paused. The reward will be sent before May 10th. Sorry for the delay ;_;

(Notice the scaley demon reward will be sent based on payment processed in May, not April) 

修電腦過程啥的就先略過不談了，總之我家小黑(電腦意味)康復啦，壞掉的只有一顆拿來當系統碟用的SSD。這幾年固態硬碟價格跳水，所以開銷比我預期的少很多。

至於還在進行中的翹臀惡魔插圖，無視修電腦浪費掉的時間，其實進展還算順利，估計五月初可以完成，所以五月的結帳週期將照常進行！插畫包將在5/10之前寄出，不好意思還是延誤了一段時間orz

[ No need to read, the tech nonsense ]

It turns out it's the drive causing issues, despite my earlier assumption, guessing I'm still a noob of assembling PC x_x. Thank god I separate the system drive and storage drive. 1 SSD as system drive -- and it's the failed one. 2 HDDs as storage/backup drives -- they remain intact so my working files are fine.

Key symptoms of a dying SSD: 

• Sudden freezing followed by BSODs without any noticeable signs.
• Some SSD will lock data writing when a BSOD occurred. If it's used as system drive, Windows won't collect error data and the number will be stuck at 0%.
• Sometimes the mobo won't find the drive while rebooting.
• No errors of disk scanning despite the SSD is failed.

Lessons I've learned:

• SSD is indeed less reliable because of its shorter lifespan...
• Never store any important data in SSD!

My working files are all stored in other HDDs so once knowing where to fix, it's fairly easy to reinstall everything and resume to work again. Though I'm a bit concerned about the health of other 2 HDDs since they are older than the failed SSD. Might replace them as well in next few months. (Yes I know I should use cloud drive but it's expensive ;_;)

[ 關於修電腦的一些廢話 ]

上一po說過，我確信硬碟沒問題，但給別人一測發現，欸，是硬碟的問題。好在我裝了三顆硬碟，一顆SSD做系統碟，兩顆HDD做資料/備份碟；所幸壞掉的是系統碟，所以重要資料都沒事。

SSD快死之前的典型症狀：

• 無預兆且隨機的藍屏死當。
• 死當的時候，有些SSD會鎖住寫入功能，假如該SSD是做為系統碟使用，暈斗將無法收集錯誤資訊，所以讀數會卡在0%。
• 有時重開機、主板會抓不到壞掉的SSD。
• 正常的SSD和快死的SSD，都有可能掃不出任何壞軌。

學到的教訓：

• SSD的壽命果然比傳統硬碟短...
• 千萬別把重要資料存在SSD。(在場若有筆電用戶要特別注意！)

給人測出問題後，其實接下來的維修步驟就很簡單，換顆硬碟重灌暈斗差不多是一天可搞定的事。至於其他兩顆傳統硬碟雖然沒事，但它們比這顆壞了的SSD還老，其中甚至有一顆已經...十歲了...(還當過五年的系統碟)，越想心裡越毛，可能接下來幾月會找時間把資料碟順便也換一換。(我知道一定會有人建議雲端備份，但經費不足啦唉)
