More delays

Hey everyone,

Instead of just staying silent or just apologizing for the delays in chapters, I figured I'd tell you the newest reason why.

The complications from moving just seems to never end.

We'd been cleaning the kitchen for like... 2 or 3 days, trying to locate the source of something I was smelling.  I have a sensitive nose and my lungs were feeling funny.  Well, eventually I looked up and realized that there was black mold in the air vents.  Upon closer inspection, it went a ways back.

Some of you may have the equipment on hand and be well versed in removing black mold...I don't, and I'm not.  So now I need to get someone out here to clean my vents, which costs money, and more importantly...

...it requires more people coming to my house in the middle of the Corovavirus crisis.  Every company doing house calls has been adopting measures to protect everyone involved, and it all gets confusing and muddled after a while.

Plus, as a creative worker, I keep weird hours.  People with real jobs generally want to work in the morning, especially on house/construction stuff, so it messed with my sleep cycle even more than usual to be up and (mostly) awake during these times.

So anyway, I just wanted to give a glimpse into my life and the wackiness I've been dealing with so ya'all don't think I'm just lazy or something.  All I want to be doing right now is working, but life keeps getting in the way.  :(

Absolutely. I'm hoping it's just the vent, because otherwise I'd need to rip out/remodel the kitchen, and that costs more money than a somewhat successful fantasy writer trying to make ends meet in 2020 can manage...lol

My wife and stepdaughter were diagnosed with chronic bronchidus before i moved in. Did some remodeling in the kitchen and found a bunch of black mold in a wall. I dont know how to remediate either, so i ripped it all out and replaced the entire wall. Good thing you have a sensitive sniffer cause that stuff causes problems.

They checked the well water like... twice, but apparently never looked in a vent, or maybe they looked in the wrong ones. Not all of them are as bad as the one in the kitchen

Oh geez! How did that even get past the inspection when they sold the house?? (At least that's what they do where I live, the houses have to go through 2 inspections, one before the house gets listed and one after it's sold)
