New art commissioned, and new book coming to the VeilVerse by another author

Gift #4  - This is a puzzle that will be a steampunk business card holder!  I'm super stoked, not only for the fun of putting this thing together, but the fact it can be my business card holder at conventions for the rest of my career, and it will always have such a cool story attached!

Thank you so much to the reader who sent this along.  Later this year, I'll take a pic once the thing is complete, and/or at Dragon*Con (or another con I attend). :)

You all are super generous, even after I flat out told everyone not to get me anything.  I feel humbled on a daily basis.

News:

The first VeilVerse book by an author other than me or Will Arand is finished!  I'm not going to announce anything yet, but this author is a serious indie author, one I was reading before I even published!  The story is super fun, and should be a great read for those of you who like the harem genre.  As soon as the official announcements go out, I'll let everyone know specifics.  Right now the cover art is in the works.

Will is still planning to launch Cultivating Chaos in early March, so I need to get Asgard Awakening done.  I'm planning to launch after him, but I want the first few books I'm working on out before June, hopefully far before June so I can dedicate 100% of my time to Delvers 4.

I've commissioned some more art for the Patreon page here!  We should be getting some character art, some whimsical, pretty stuff, and maybe a new banner soon too.  Stay tuned.

-Personal news:

I'm still gonna play it close to the chest for now, but there are very exciting things happening in my personal life.  In fact, the reason for this latest chapter delay is because I haven't been at my computer.  /That said/ I have still been working.  I took the opportunity to deal with some admin stuff that was pressing, which unfortunately usually requires spending more money. :(

Tax time is coming up too, which I think nobody is excited about.  Now that I'm self employed, it takes longer every year to get all my stuff together for taxes.  I'm crossing my fingers that I won't owe a bunch for last year past what I had to pay in quarterlies.  Until later this year, I'm going to be running pretty lean.

On that note, here is a quick FYI to aspiring authors:  Plan in advance.

Whether you're being paid quarterly or bi-yearly by a publisher, or you are getting paid by Amazon, there are delays in pay.  As an example, if I make money on Amazon in March, I won't actually get paid for those royalties until the beginning of June.

It's a good thing I already had decent spreadsheet-fu from my old IT job, because it feels like my entire life runs on spreadsheets now. :P

Stay frosty, folks!  I am hoping to have up a chapter or two within 24 hours.  I'm still sitting on a stack of finished chapters that just need editing.
