This is the first draft of Aodh by Artist 1.

Pro-tip: using a spear without gauntlets will DEFINITELY end with you losing/breaking fingers. Even with blunt SCA/HEMA spears.

2017-08-11 07:44:03 +0000 UTCThe only reason to have an arrow head shaped spear tip is if you don't want a thrown spear to be pulled out of your target with ease. Good for large unintelligent targets. Terrible for small smart targets. I could see how it would feed a large beast's energy to a hunter.

2017-08-11 06:47:47 +0000 UTCWhile I agree that the vampiric stabber IS pretty anyone smart enough to wear gauntlets could simply pull it out of the users grasp. Could the downward blades replace the horizontal guard poles? They would cover the off hand and if they were slightly more horizontal could serve as a chopping tool/weapon.
