Sovol SV08 Video
Added 2024-10-12 12:51:09 +0000 UTCI hate making videos like my latest release but they continued to push me to release it despite my objections that the machine had issues that still needed fixing. So I was honest and finally shared my experience.
I won’t be working with them anytime soon. I just hope nobody spends their money to get the same experience.

I don’t know enough about Klipper to do that. And I really don’t have time to fix their design. But I appreciate your belief in my abilities.

2024-11-25 18:30:47 +0000 UTCChuck is it possible to adjust the printer.cfg file for the klipper firmware on that SV08? I think the SV08 is a klipper printer, you might be able to fine tune the config to fix those issues. If you can do a follow up video to go over what you had to do to fix it. Maybe Solvol will learn something from you and fix it based off your changes to the config for it.

2024-10-13 11:31:40 +0000 UTCHi Chuck - you were not the only person with issues. You have nothing to apologize about and if even you can’t make it work then there are legitimate issues. Bambu has raised expectations for initial quality and usability. Gone are the days of rebuilding a printer with replacement or improved third party components when you initially receive it before you get a decent first print. Sure you can upgrade later if you wish so there is room for aftermarket. I too am looking for a 400 x 400 min. non-bed slinger that will print like a bambu or later model Kx

2024-10-12 23:45:59 +0000 UTCThanks for the youtube link I dont do X out of principle. Sorry the sv08 did not work out. I am looking for a printer to replace my chiron. It has seen over 300kg of mostly PETG ABS and HIPS and well all is worn out. So any ideas for a print 400x400x400 or larger - not a bed slinger with a highflow (like volcano or better) hotend, direct drive that will not break the bank and works well - at least most of the time?
