Yuki onna reveal + Devlog #114 + Monstergirl poll #41 is on!

This time drawn by Helm, who also worked on the Lamia redesign some time ago ^^
I'm extremely happy with how she turned out! Her mods were Hair made of ice, Exponential gains and Kimono. Exponential gains is pretty obvious! As for the Kimono, a lot of care was put into it. I hope you'll enjoy how it looks! :B
For Hair made of ice, I did cheat just a little bit. I wasn't able to get a shape I liked with just ice, so I chose to make it ice AND snow (which is technically ice, I suppose, kind of). I like the vibe it gives her! And I'm also very happy with the stalagtite bangs ^^
Helm nailed the ice reflections. And the huge skeletal ice hands! And the stalagtite legs! And everything really! I'm just very happy with how she looks ^^

Harvestable items have been added in Sablee ocean, Rietti plains, Rietti forest, Biscotti, Biscotti tunnels, Night dome, and there is also 1 new Palm tree leaf/bark in Sablee :)

Jelly can now only drop Jelly tentacle and Spiral sand

Harvestable items have now been removed from Nina's boutique

Added 20 Alma pages explaining the game's mechanics to collect across the game

Updated/removed info signs

Added the Hint system!

Added the Party event system!

Made skills usable only once per character. However, all skills reset once every character in the party has used theirs!

Removed the limit on skill charge value (So you can keep charging and potentially use several characters' skill in a row, instead of having to charge > use skill > switch character > charge again etc)

Balanced sun spawn rate when clearing 4+ oyons. It was way, way too high. You now get 3 sun spawns for 4 cleared, 5 for 5, 8 for 6, 12 for 7, etc.

Balanced the board clear reward slightly (very slight increase in reward Fei, slightly smaller skill charge reward)

Combo spells can now be stocked in training

The Blobcat has been ensmartened and will now lunge at Shapes instead of at the cursor, unless all shapes are out of bounds/stunned

Updated pit puzzle symbols

Made that one lever next to Tril's room in Auria easier to find

Added a "door" rock in front of mini house

One NPC in Biscotti is now a little bit more fun

Added a Fei spring map icon

In some rare cases, Icons/Notes wouldn't show on the map as intended > fixed

Added a boss warning object

Added a pirate battle spawn animation

The way the screen darkens when a fight appears has been updated

Some objects' depth wouldn't be updated correctly when leaving a room > fixed

Updated map treasure percentage (includes alma pages)

Added a bunch of hint events!

Renamed Fei shards (the ones in the ocean) to Fei petals

Made item description squishable in the alchemy menu

Slightly updated the almanach item/recipe/shape/bestiary page structure

Improved dialogue choice (yes / no) graphics

Fixed typos and made improvements to a few lines

Tril SFX can now be heard even if there is an enemy in the room

Tril can now pick up coins

The new gear puzzles in the Night dome have been made a bit more user friendly

Added item descriptions (finally!)

Added a few party events (just 2 really, but pretty cool)

The Relay spells now gives you a Witch Swap card

+ some minor stuff

Big changelist! Pretty much the opposite of the last one, in that a lot of these are pretty minor updates. Either way, it's a LOT of good stuff taken care of!

Harvestable items have been added! There are some new ones in the ocean and many in the Rietti plains and every area after that. Of course, this means these items can't be bought at Nina's boutique anymore. The way you can harvest these items are pretty varied and of course some are more common than others ^^
The Hint system is finally here! In some rooms (usually rooms with a mandatory puzzle), a "!" button will appear. Clicking this button will give you an option to activate a Hint event for said puzzle! Hint events have been written for all relevant puzzles in the demo.
The Party event system has also been implemented! Party events trigger when a set of conditions are met. Getting to a certain room with a certain party, having a certain object in your inventory... It could be anything really. Currently, there are only 2 party events in the game, but I plan to add more eventually!
Alma pages have also been added. These can be found in various rooms and serve as tutorials instead of the old info signs (though a few info signs are still around!). Once obtained, these pages can be reviewed at any time in the Almanach!
And! The item descriptions have FINALLY been added! Big thanks to Draconian and Torgeir for helping me out with these ^^ Getting some of these to fit in the limited space available proved to be a bit of a challenge in some cases, especially for the spells. It definitely got a bit strenuous by the end, but I'm glad it's done! There's some fun extra lore in there ^^

There is a lot more, but these were this month's main addition. And at this point, there really aren't any big systems left to add... I can still think of some smaller fixes that need to be taken care of, but even that list is getting short!

Next month, I'll start actively working on the SFX. There are a bunch to take care of so I probably won't be able to rely exclusively on AM4N (who did several SFX for the game before, such as the Veomea one!), I'll have to get my hands dirty so to speak. I do also need to take some time to design more monstergirls, and I would like to start some work related to character chibis if I can.
Some other things that come to mind include finishing the festival sequence and the dark Biscotti sequence, adding a few new cutscenes (just a few), and maybe adding a couple of quests and opening the Biscotti restaurant if possible.

There's some work left, but the progress made over the last year is pretty wild when I look back... The public demo is getting closer! ^^

The next monstergirl poll has begun! You can now vote for the monstergirl you want to be included in BE Witches in the Discord server if you are a 2$+ patron!

The poll will be active until the 12th of this month. After this, you will be able to change your submitted modifier until the 15th. Finally, the two rounds of the modifier poll will take one week each afterwards.
