Naturist District
Added 2024-09-25 22:04:26 +0000 UTCAnother exploration of the naturist district that's shown up a couple times before ("Open Air Market" and "Tea Room"). It's a small area near the city center where clothing is pretty much optional as a way of honoring the lifestyle many of its furred citizens prefer to live -- at least as an occasional escape.
The color scheme went through a few iterations before I settled on something I liked. And even then, the background got changed up several times. I just love the chance to get into all the background details in busy scenes like this. There's a lot of freedom in filling the space, but of course there's more random bits I wish I'd taken the time to add :P Finally, I need to find a better way to do 5-point perspective than freehanding it >.<
This was a commission for TheSkylord on FA. I don't take many commissions at all, besides YCH's around the end of the year. You're welcome to ask, but definitely for the next few months I won't be able to take any on.

Absolutely astounding! This is a true work of art. I love every bit of it. The lighting, the colors, the warmth, the friendship, the background, the mixed clothed and nude. All of it! Wonderful job! This is just incredible. Here's to nude with a backpack!

2024-10-31 06:33:46 +0000 UTCI think I've settled into the idea that it's way more cozy if the nudity is truly optional, so yeah, clothing appears :) Haha, I thought about the towel issue! The bench they're on is too close to the counter for them to sit on it normally, so they want to use it they have to kneel. I felt like this was the best compromise between trusting your guests to bring a towel with them and knowing that they might just sit down anyway. But this is an issue that just doesn't ever make it into artwork.

With the sushi chef being clothed, at first I thought probably because of health code stuff, heh, but also shows not everyone has to be nude if they don't want to be π. And that fennec in the upper corner, who are they and what are they discussing?? One critique.....where are their towels?? π€π
