Why isn't Ezrael aberrant after 10 cycles in seclusion on Io?

-io isn't a toxic environment, and she did have some interactions, all negative though. Aberration happens from prolonged exposure to incredibly harsh or toxic environments.

But she's evil right?

-no. Ezrael is not evil, but she does evil things sometimes. Sometimes for the greater good, sometimes not. Many good people have to do evil things to survive. Just as evil people are capable of doing good rarely.

So she can be rehabilitated?

-no. Only a bonding would heal her mind and I have no intention of that ever happening. To put it bluntly, I like her the way she is.

Why does she tolerate androgyns and aberrants when normal drake society doesn’t?

-because Ezrael is an outlier herself and she won't judge aberrants or androgyns when they became how they are from either birth (andro) or toxic planet exposure(aberrant). Also there is little an aberrant can do to an augment. And Ezrael towers over everyone except for her own sperm donor, so in short, she ain't worried about being eaten.

Why is she a cannibal?

-because I thought it would be hilarious and it totally is. Also drakes are based on Komodo dragons and roughly 10-15% of their diet are their own children. I.e. cannibals

Why so edgy?

-if anyone had lived through her experiences, our experiences, they'd either be dead or in a padded cell. Ez isn't doing too bad all things considered.

You've mentioned drugs before, if that a both you and Ez thing or..?

-no. I'm 100% against all illegal drugs and also against smoking dope or alcoholism. Me the artist hates drugs and druggies. Ezrael the character uses drugs and alcohol to handle her ptsd and trauma. I don't. I handle my trauma by dumping it on my characters. Drugs are fairly easy to get ahold of in drake society, there are many smokable herbal mixes out there, I myself abhor smoking and even Ezrael hates that shit. Neither of us tolerate smoking of any kind. But yes she does use amanathine based drugs supplied by Damian, and she drinks way too much. I however, do neither. Put it this way, if Ezrael didn't do the inhalant mists from Damian, she'd be murdering a lot more people. Keeping herself drugged keeps the shellshock related thoughts quieter. She witnessed the murders and deaths of thousands of her people with an utter inability to save a single one. She's not okay. And it’s ok that she's not okay. I know she's not okay. She knows she's not okay. She does what she does to avoid the memories and visions replaying in her head. While I find any sort of addiction or placebo rather offensive, I do understand the characters motives. She is my persona but she is not me. If she was me, I'd embrace the super powered body I had and well, there would be a global restructuring of power on earth. 🫡
