Perhaps my most ambitious scene yet

After the slogs of the books, I needed such a mental break. And in my case, yes, drawing other ppls characters or ones I don't consider "mine" but rather owned by "the story" is a great way to unload mental clutter.

The first pass of the flats is finally done, everyone is officially colored in, next I'll be setting them properly into the environments and then eventually shading.

My choices for characters were entirely my own, no one paid or voted or anything to get "in" on this scene, I picked some of my favorite drakes, and then threw in several story characters as well. Eventually I'll sketch in the space ship as well [yes, there's a ship, the pre-sketch is there but hidden atm]

There was supposed to be one other drake in there that belonged to someone, and one of my favorite designs (libra) but due to some issues irl I did not include him--he was actually in the original sketch behind hades inbetween Hades and Xol. it is what it is, and that's why I shuffled several drakes around to fill that gap. there are likely MANY edits still to come, namely wmoving and resizing the tents, adding more to the sky, things like that. there is a lot left to do, but I feel this is a good point to share screenshots with my patrons.

in typical me fashion as well, ezrael was the very last to be colored in as I had to fuck with her lines a ton [hades and aeryn too, i redrew them 5-6 times each]

tbh there is still too much empyy space for my taste, and I was thinking of sketching in either some alien deer or wild dogs or something like that in the far background.

thats why I call this stage a heavy WIP because it's likely a LOT will still be getting changed around.
