Chapters 0-14 complete
Added 2024-12-11 05:32:14 +0000 UTCin my typical show of transparency and rather than posting in the community tab twice i'll just make a quick post here to shout out that 0-14 are fully ready to go, edited to the best of my ability. the book [currently] has 21 chapters but i'll knock down 1 or 2 once I get there, to make them intros for the 'part 2' book. it just felt better that way.
anywho, that's what's going on. nope, not being lazy. editing takes an absurd amount of time like you cant even imagine. editors effectively read the ENTIRE book a minimum of twice, but usually 3+ times to ensure no flaws anywhere and this is my 5th editing pass [1st for the total book, i edited each chapter 1 at a time 2-3 times each, some 4]
anyway after the 5th pass those chapters are officially book ready. then once the full editing "experience" is complete ill add and modify my chapter flourishes to the book, and finish the glossary, then begin the wrap up for certain book-related art pieces that will be included in print.
currently over 400 pages [410 to be exact] but this will likely go down significantly when I prune chapters--but then again maybe not, since while editing I also add a ton more fluff and detailing where its needed
and no, i have no desire to use grammar or punctuation here in this post. its exhausting using my brain all day and theres no brain jice left for writing a "hey im being productive" post
