Pirates sites
Added 2023-10-19 21:58:39 +0000 UTCJust a quick note, to tell you that I have started to fight pirate sites that offer my content illegally.
The image shows the report of my losses following the pirate sites which offer my comics for free.
The site I subscribed to this evening. Scans the internet 24/7 and as soon as my comics appear on a pirate site or a file sharing site like Mega, fileboom, etc... it requests deletion immediately.
They also request the blocking of search results concerning my comics on pirate sites and file sharing sites at Google and Bing.
This will cost me $200/month. But at least I would have peace of mind.
So if among you, there are some who want to post my comics on pirate sites. Know that starting tonight. It's no longer of any use.
They will be deleted immediately.

I know that some people discover my work by seeing my comics on pirate sites. But for every 2 or 3 who subscribe, 1000+ watch my comics for free. So the calculation is done very quickly. And, I think there are enough places where people can see and experience my work. Twitter, Slushe, Affect3D, my official website, ArtStation, etc...

How else are people supposed to know about you? Don't believe any views or dollar amounts they give to you, those are just to convince you that they're doing something important. If someone looks at your stuff and thinks "that's not for me", they'll count that as a "loss" for you.
