Test assembling my first piston engine!

This is so weird and complicated. But I love it. Definitely makes me appreciate rotary more and see how we can refine them. But I built that entire head from scratch using used parts. Finally understand what vr1 means when saying flat tappets haha. But I also got to build the slide throttles and see deep inside the head where the spark plug goes. The brand new pistons will hit the valves so you have to do a valve drop test and then machine away 30 thousands. Has to be insanely high compression. There are 3 engine mounts for the 3 phases of the engine build. This is 1/3 wheee you can see the timing marks on the front of the gold thing. Those are 75 degrees apart. Because it’s a 75 degree angle from the two banks of pistons. Not 90 or 80 like it says online. It’s a 75 degree engine like a motorcycle apparently haha.

I will have to make some timing wheels etc then we can do a livestream on building one properly from scratch. This is missing most of the bolts and o rings

The throttle barrels look a lot like the intake runner controls in an rx8 lowerπŸ€”

I have no idea what I'm looking at but LFG!
