It started small, a funny tasting beer in a small bar on a hard day's work. For a couple days, he thought his clothes were simply shrinking, shirts struggling over his shoulders, his shoes squeezing, his underwear pulling at his crotch. Then he noticed his bed was shrinking, his roof was getting shorter, and even his doors weren't fitting correctly. Still, he went to his job and ended it with a frothy beer.
In just a month, however, he was too big for a bar. Too big became his norm as his co-workers shrunk down to knee height and cars wouldn't stretch to his leg length. He struggled into thrift stores to put on new clothes, the X's stacking with every visit. He tipped store owners extra for every ceilings he crashed into and every bathroom he tore open, which added to his growing eating expenses. All he wanted to do was be with his boys at the construction site but he began to stand above them, needing less construction equipment to move his loads but also having to be more careful not to step on his team.
In just 4 months, he was taking on WAY more hours than his fellow peers to pay for his growing meals and shrinking living situation. He was asked to move cranes and hold down structures as they were fastened, which rapidly accelerated work. Soon, it was a team effort to feed and keep him clothed, a job that was constantly made more difficult as he tore the super-elastic 'construction speedoes' they added to the cost of construction. The only way for him to aid them at a point was to simply hold the buildings, their hard work between his legs, as he started to grow taller than them. The little guys loved their big, growing giant though, pranking him with graffiti on his speedo and tangling other construction worker's stuff in his body hair. They showed love by carefully building the construction sites around him for the day, watching out for the pool sized beads of sweat that fell from his swelling hulking body.
When an earthquake struck the city, putting their hard work in jeapordy, the giant, after a year of growing and eating and hulking to the size of a skyscraper. His muscles bulged as he flexed them to hold the city together. Citizens ran but slowed to look up at the construction worker's godly form as he muscles towered over them. Some said they could have sworn he slowly swelling as he held their city for them like a looming protector. People knew they were safe with him, just as his team knew, uncertain of how long he would grow and how much his job would have to pay to feed his office building sized muscle gut. Only time would tell.....
