Which platform?

Sorry for all the polls... I'm trying to see what works best for everyone. I myself would prefer a ko-fi page, but it would mean I have to send out discord invites manually for those who want them. Before I make the move I want to be sure which truly is the best option.  Feedback is much appreciated!!

(Ko-Fi is the one that doesn't take any cuts from me, only a base monthly fee... but tier options seem to be limited)

I will follow you wherever you go!! Just wanted to bring up--I'm not sure how much work it would be on your end, but I looked into it just a little and it might be possible to make your own "subscription website"?? Maybe?! I don't know the details like tiers and stuff, but I'm not sure if it's something you looked into--(sorry if you did!!!) I also follow someone who uses gumroad, and posts their reward packs for individual sale. You could use it as intended (as a customer I have no problems!) but if you want to perhaps 'finesse' it, maybe you could sell the "tiers" and find some way to mass email. This would work with any store platform I think, if you have some sort of emailing system set up! And maybe you can have individual discord servers for tiers if you want to have some sort of feed! What I've seen someone else do is send just the links to online cloud folders based on tiers, rather than the rewards themselves! Im sorry if this was a bit long but I hope something was helpful! By no means am I trying to propose more work, just hoping you can find some sort of solution that works for you! Regardless please know you have my unending well wishes and support!

A year or two ago another creator I sub to on patron went through some dirt dealings with patreon (threw him under the bus on a troll report, recanted on throwing him under the bus after review, but then basically said they would do it again in the future) so he switched to Subscribestar. I would need to reread their stuff again, but back then something about either their ToS or Privacy Policy pertaining to subscribers skeeved me out and sadly I had to let my support go. I haven't used ko-fi for anything but tipping creators before, but I'd be willing to try it for recurring subs.

can i mail you a check every month?

I understand the sentiment. I don't want to stay on Patreon primarily for ethical reasons. It's been bought out by venture capitalists and they're trying to assert more control over its creators and not being transparent with the patrons about policy changes. For example, creators got an email about US Sales Tax changes they'll be implementing but they don't plan on telling patrons until the day of those changes, which is June 1st. They're making the creators soften the blow for the patrons when it's their job to take care of all that PR themselevs. :/ Ko-Fi would yield a better % for me, but it's not as customizable as Subscribestar or Patreon.

I am lazy so I don't want to switch platforms if I don't HAVE to, but if there is a good reason to I will. And well since I AM lazy cant be arsed to research stuff, why do you want to switch platform? Would you make significantly more money than with Patreon and/or are there other benefits? I am being tongue in cheek here, but I also want to raise awareness that you might lose some subscribers just because they cant be bothered to sign up with another service.
