2025-09-26 19:31:51 +0000 UTCWhile Imagawa did not work on Ideon, he also worked on several episodes of the Tomino series that followed Dunbine, Heavy Metal L-Gaim. Personally I'm glad they are watching Dunbine because there's quite a bit of its "DNA" in Victory Gundam (along with basically all the other 80s Tomino non-Gundam works: Ideon, Xabungle and L-Gaim—the last of which also lends itself heavily to Zeta and ZZ).

2025-09-24 22:46:53 +0000 UTCI just heard 'watching Aura Battler Dunbine' and some inner part of me, faced with the prospect of 'Tom and Nina watch non-Gundam robot shows', is slamming his metaphorical hands on the equally metaphorical table and shouting 'I-de-on! I-de-on! I-de-on!' I am aware that this is unlikely (if only because I don't think Imagawa worked on that one!) but I thought the mental image was funny enough to share, at least.
