Wonwoo’s mother passed away in April 2022, and ITS2 was filmed only a few months after that. She passed away on Mingyu’s birthday which was the second year in a row Mingyu couldn’t celebrate publicly. The first time was in 2021 when there was a false school bullying allegation against him at the time and he temporarily halted activities (i know - mingyu being accused of that out of all people?) but thank goodness his name was cleared. jeonghan stil bought him a cake and celebrated with him even though mingyu couldn’t do it himself🥺

( since they also get hair removal under their arms and arms/legs.) visible to the eye body hair in korea is seen as something unclean and dirty. like as if you let yourself go or unprofessional. i would say for a normal korean citizen facial hair isn’t a big deal but still a lot of korean men outside of kpop idols get hair removal surgery. there was one time dk’s underpits had hair on them on a going seventeen episode and they blurred it out lol. 😭 so every-time he lifted his arms it was a big blur. like you cannot make this stuff up 😭. i have also seen those few male idols who don’t get underarm hair removed apologize if they haven’t shaved it. like the culture is just very different.

2025-08-04 09:52:46 +0000 UTCi believe most of the them are christian; esp joshua, dino since they’ve been open about going to church etc, the others like mingyu and woozi haven’t publicly disclosed their beliefs but have made references to christianity through lyrics and other stuff. all in all k-pop idols tend to treat their religious beliefs as a private matter to avoid controversy and respect diverse fans
