(Maybe just the general tho not the entire workforce) Maybe take over the company OR completely end it🤔 I also think Bale kept trying to kill them to be petty because he couldn’t kill jinman with his own hands so he’s using his niece as the substitute because he thinks he died but ig we will find out in S2

Like if I knew for sure we was getting a season 2 I would feel a little better about the ending, but naaah the ending pissed me off.

I get that they’re upset that Jinman lied and took out several of their men. But why would they side with Bale who’s obviously mentally unstable, and then take out Jinman’s entire family? To put company resources behind assassination of civilians, and be on a side of psychopath who could be a threat within your organization…. those are the questions I have.

Their only motivation was that, with Jingman dead, they've lost a way to acquire weapons, etc., so they're compensating by raiding the mall and also getting paid for killing Jian, since Babylon put that bounty on their head. When she offered to continue running the mall and supplying the killers with weapons, they have a reason to keep her alive. None of this was grudge motivated. So it makes sense that they'd leave her alone.

2024-11-24 01:48:18 +0000 UTCI took that ending to mean that Jinman's "death" was part of his long term plan and while everyone thought he was dead, he was on the sidelines hunting Bale. So I'm thinking S2 is going to be from Jinman's POV and we see what he was doing while Jian was fighting for her life. Very excited for S2!

2024-11-24 01:35:23 +0000 UTCNah I agree with you guys… the lack of a definite conclusion feels a bit like a letdown especially considering how well the episodes had been plotted in this show. But it’s obviously to leave it open for a S2. That scene with that guy’s head gave me such Kingdom vibe… then I remember Jian was in Kingdom. 😅 I don’t know whether the scriptwriter intentionally wrote such callback vibes to the leads previous roles too. Because this show reminded me more than once of Lee Dong Wook’s famous Grim Reaper role. 😆 (saying a name three times, that scene picking up Brother with that unmbrella) Maybe just the man can’t help being his cool self, haha.

2024-11-23 23:34:40 +0000 UTCI felt he was alive this whole time and wanted the people distracted going after the shop/his niece (could have possibly wanted her to train and bring her in the fold as well) while he went after Bale and possibly the general at Babylon (I mean he returned looking weary and bloody, so he was doing something). I just thought they would show us what he has been doing the whole time that he was to be thought dead like they doubled back with everything else to show us the different point of views of what happened. But maybe this leaves a door open for season two. For your next drama I think yall should watch Fiery Priest it has elements of this show, Vincenzo, and as someone mentioned yesterday Lee Honey. The second season is currently airing so you would be able to follow up with that after finishing the first season. :)
