The poor family is parasitic because it helps them to get to a better place in life. The old house keeper and husband are parasites for survival.

Bong Joon Ho (the director) did the calculation and said it would be virtually impossible for him โ considering his station in life โ to ever buy that house. The actor who played Mr. Park committed suicide after being blackmailed and questioned by police for alleged drug use and adultery.

The actor who plays the poor son, idk if you remember, played the young male witch in โThe witch: subversionโ-the one who ran into FL lead on the train while she and her friend was eating eggs. RIP to the actor Lee Sun Kyun who played the rich father. If you didnโt know or remember, his case was all over the news in SK and even made it into our media coverage here in america.
