Ep7 Queen Of Tears

Comments

(Love your reactions!)

Charlene

Also obviously Hyunwoo was saying things to make Haein angry on purpose to give her a reason to live. (He did this right after the doctor said even hatred can give someone the will to live).

Kdramas filming in other countries isn’t a new thing, they’ve done it many times.

Charlene

Are you guys gonna watch the behind the scenes?

Tasia

Thank you for this. He's actually a terrible husband. The guy literally abandoned his wife while she was dealing with a miscarriage. yes, the mischarge also affected him but the experience is so different for the mother. Not only do they physically have to see their "child" exit their body, but the physical and emotional pain, accompanied by the guilt of your body not being able to do what it was "made" to do is something fathers will never understand. and instead of supporting his wife thru this he acted like the victim? and then on top of that, he had the audacity to wish death upon her and scheme to get her to change her will.

As some others have mentioned, I think it is really important to remember that Hyun Woo was the first to move out of the bedroom. It is totally understandable because he thought she was coldly clearing out the baby's room but we know that she was grieving too. And she blames herself for losing the baby, because she tells herself in the mirror that she doesn't deserve to cry. So when he moves out of the room I think that confirms for her that he also blames her for the loss. So she doesn't reach out to him because she doesn't think he wants her to. It is sooooo sad

Thank you

The pills that our girl is supposed to take are to slow down her illness but since the glory took it, i guess its getting worse faster

I think I understand it but it is so hard to explain because it carries such a complicated feelings and thoughts.. The simplest way to explain might be the lock is their token of love and while they think it has been removed before, he actually found it.. He might said that line because he wants to say that their love still exist and he still loves her despite wanting a divorce before.. He also just found the lock before being confronted by Hae In, so his thought process just before that might be hopeful, and he might be thinking 'We love each other, we are going to be happy, everything is going to be alright' but then BAM!! So he might still wants to be hopeful and the last hopeful thing he remembers before that was the lock.. I think that line express his regret, his guilty feeling and his hopefulness..

Ness

I did mention that she’s terrible at communicating and that he was also hurt in the relationship. That is something that is clear to see. I’m pointing out that the relationship went to crap also because of him

Majestic

i've rewatched QoT for the nth time, but still confuse while hyun woo mentioned the lock in that scene

Geewonie

He wanted to find the raccoon so that he can feel comforted that everything will be alright as long as he believes in her and the love he has for her, maybe

EP8 ASAP!!! Can't wait to see your reaction!!!

TWL

Yup! There are so many things that Hyun-woo did and didn’t do when he should have or shouldn’t have. The discussion about that when the show was airing was really fun because we all were appalled by haein’s attitude in the first episode then the second episode happened where we saw his and her point of view and everyone turned on hyunwoo like clock-work😭. I really loved the show showing the two povs

Majestic

Hi!! I watch this as soon as it became available.. Not sure if you guys still remember the woman that Hae In met at the funeral hall is Kim Min Ji, her employee that had a mother who had cancer and this is the said mother's funeral.. Can't wait for episode 8!! 😁😁

Ness

One of the things that I love about this shows are the lines that they used.. It's usually really deep and the lines can be about things that happened at the time they were talking, but also referring to different conversations or situations they had before as well.. I also love that the characters here have flaws that make them more human and relatable.. They might not be perfect, but we can see the reasoning behind their actions and that makes me sympathize more with them..

Ness

Yall are def knowing your kdramas now 😂 I rly had tears falling re-watching this with yall 😭😭

I agree that they have quite a skewed perception of each other and she has always been waiting for him.. This was shown further when Hyun Woo comes and meet her in Germany on the San Soucci's stairs after she went alone, and he said to her 'We're married now, then I should be here with you at this time'.. She replied 'Did I ever tells you not to?' and that 'I never wanted to be alone, ever'.. This statement doesn't just apply for the Germany trip for her treatment, it applies to all the times they were together.. She has always been waiting for him to come to her side but was unable to approach or tells him that because of her ego and because she really thinks that Hyun Woo hates her and doesn't love her anymore (she might think this because Hyun Woo decided to move out from their bedroom + she felt it was her fault that she had the miscarriage)..

Ness

Yeah.. I understand it as Hyun Woo is a bit naive and easy to believe things when it comes from people that he loves.. That is also why when Hae In pull a prank or said things that she didn't mean in the past, for example about the raccoon, making him happy after marriage, and even when they were arguing, Hyun Woo does believe the things that Hae In said.. This trait of him might be okay if it is just about a harmless prank, but it is really bad when they were arguing because Hae In tends to say the most hurtful things or just denies what she actually feels and was thinking about, because her upbringing makes her believe that she must not look weak in front of others.. With Hyun Woo believing everything Hae In said during their fight as the true way Hae In was feeling or thinking about their situation (he actually believed that Hae In didn't really care about their baby when she had the miscarriage), it's easy to get resentful.. We all know that she cares and was devastated about the baby, but it might not look that way from his perspective. That is until he finds out that Hae In used 1031 (the due date for their baby) as her password and we can see him being attracted back to her after that (finding her pretty and being mesmerized by her) because he knew then that Hae In does care..

Ness

I took away from the raccoon the meaning that she said he always believes me just like he believed me when I said I'd make him happy. I think its a deeper meaning, he always believes her even when it is untrue. Such as the raccoon and the I'll make you happy. I'd make him happy being the big thing because as you can see he believed fully but their marriage wasn't happy.

Em

@1:14:22 of course she’s throwin it back lol they’re together remember

ParkMinJeon

I took it as the raccoon was totally made up but he’s so easily fooled by her that he desperately wanted it to be true in the end

Symone

hahahahaha she wanted to do the investigation on her own to protect him from her family because she knew they will eat him alive. She was still protecting him despite everything. "he didnt do anything to her..." he did a lot actually but the worst will be wishing her death. I dont know if you guys caught this but haein's portrayal as very mean and cold at the beginning was because it was his pov... the show did not keep illustrating this but we were briefly shown that in his pov shes very mean, cold and even when she told him she found a cure for her illness, he thought about how bad his life had been and will continue to be and pictured her shooting him further showing that he doesnt know her as well as he thought he did and how much she not only suffered too but loved him. Even when he mentioned 2 episodes ago that she never waited for him, the show briefly (blink and you miss) that she always waited for him when he isnt home and settles only when he is. He "left" her first when he decided to leave their shared room and she has waited for him ever since thinking that he no longer loved/cared for her. His character was hated a lot when the show was airing because he self-victimized himself (yes he did suffer in the marriage too) but he a big reason why the marriage fell apart. Haein is TERRIBLE at communicating and that stems from her trauma as a kid. Because of that its hard for her to do so and the way she shows love is different but one thing everyone can see is that she has always loved him
