Just a quick note on honorifics: I guess you might already know about this since you have watched so much, and I suppose other experts here might have told you! (If so please skip it!) There are basically 4 "levels" of language in Korean (textbooks says 6). 1. The most casual, friend-friend (same age), older -> younger 1&2 mixture. This is kind of funny, but when you are real close to older friends (1 year to probably 10 year gap) and you were told you can use the pronoun "older sister or brother" word such as Unni, Oppa, Hyung, Noona, you can speak casually with them when you are allowed to or when you have built a real close relationship. However, there are certain expression or word you can never use to this type of relationship even if you are speaking casually. For example you can never call them "hey" which is "야"(ya) in korean. You can never use certain expression. 2. Basic honorific, polite - to seniors at school (even when they are just 1 year older), to all adult, to my parents, to my grandparents. It usually ends in "요" yo. ex: 안녕하세요 "an-nyung-ha-se-yo" which means hello. 감사해요 "gam-sa-hae-yo" thank you. 3. Public formal honorific - You use this type of language for public speech, public interview, Military (you speak formal to each other), or usually some people (more often males) choose this form as their daily speech style and it could be attractive to some girls (like me) when it is used properly. It usually ends in "다,나,까" "da" or "na" or "gga" ex: 안녕하십니까 "an-nyung-ha-sip-ni-gga" which means hello. Or "감사합니다" "gam-sa-hap-ni-da" thank you. As you notice most people use "gamsahapnida" public formal when they use the word "thank you" since we are trying to be sincere about "thankfulness" this comes to apology too, we use public formal (lev 3) vocab much more than just polite vocab (lev 2) because we are trying to emphasize the sincerity. 4. Formal-formal to the end..? hahahaha, this is used toward king or someone of a different rank and you find this in Historical drama. Since the apparent social rank exist during Chosun Dynasty (the dynasty right before Repulic of Korea) and not anymore, it is not a normal way of how you speak. However!!! People still know how yo use it, because of drama (one reason), or if you are involved in religion of any kind :). I am a Christian, and God could be friend yet could be refer to as King of universe (from christian perspective) and when we are trying to emphasize that we use this honorific in Public prayer. Although I usually use level 1&2 mixture language when I pray by myself.. Anyway this is Long, however, the language dynamic is really cool in drama (in real life too) especially when there is shift in relationship you can see the language shift. Although because the main characters are friends in "Lovely Runner" so you don't see the change too much. There are still some in the moment when "kim tae sung" shifting his language when he is trying to tease "sol" about being "gramma" or "noonim (more formal way to call out to noona which is a pronoun use by male to older female)

I recently became your Patreon member. I am from Korea, so my English grammar might be off at times, but I have been watching your reactions along with checking the English subtitles, which is helping my English as well :) Thank you for doing reactions!!

2024-07-22 06:23:52 +0000 UTCTo say the fact, he didn't say "no comment" to the question "Are you two dating?". Both he and Hyeyoon Kim(actress of Sol) neither denied nor admitted the question of dating. Both of them just laughed and skipped answering to that question.

2024-07-22 06:19:12 +0000 UTCThere are many rumors about the 2 dating in real life because they are supper close. They did an interview together and when the interviewer asked if they were dating byeon wooseok ( sunjae) said no comment. So we don't know 😂💙

2024-07-22 02:04:41 +0000 UTCI watched sweet home 3 yall 😭 I think I found myself only tuning back in out of loyalty for s1 and how much I loved it, and for song kang and lee dohyun who are now in the military. It felt rushed to me. And like an entirely diff show to the first season. A lot of unnecessary plot and characters I couldn’t fall for. Which is very unfortunate. I don’t want to deter yall though, a lot of people did enjoy it. I enjoyed a lot of moments as well. But yeah. A little disappointed in the writing 🤏
