Perhaps even more so for Armin 😅 They're both based on things they have believed since they were kids, after all, but Erwin's is more logical and Armin's more.. fantastical? Not sure if that would be the right word 🤔 Erwin really is an amazing character. He's a fantastic leader in all aspects, and I do agree that in that moment, he should have been the only choice to revive. I love how controversial Hajime Isayama made his end to be. Shows how respected Erwin is among his comrades in the story and among readers/viewers, too. I wouldn't say Levi's decision was bad, though... at least, that's my opinion. A lot of things leading up to that moment seemed to guide him to that decision, including Erwin saying that he doesn't know what to do after discovering what's in the basement. Then of course there was Floch calling him a devil and saying that he deserved to continue living in the hell they were in and later Levi saying that he chose this place to be where Erwin dies rather than bringing him back to suffer more. It's emotional, yes, and it's not the best decision, especially logically.. but I think it's one of the things that makes the story good. I would like to see how things would play out if we had Erwin instead of Armin in the end, though!

2023-10-03 06:28:13 +0000 UTC? People say that Erwin’s dream was selfish and that it stopped at the basement, when in reality all he did was for the sake of his people. He literally even sacrificed himself in order for his people take the next step. Armins dream has always been to sea the sea, which is very far from Erwin’s. If anything Erwin was the one caring the most for humanity inside the walls. Also, after reviving, armin does close to nothing until the last chapters where he gets his cringe moment, but at that point everything is being thrown at the garbage. Also, his death would be much more meaningful to the main characters in comparison to Erwin dying here. Choosing armin just makes no sense, and everybody knows that in the story. In the end, the only one choosing him was eren and then Levi made a very bad emotional decision.

Erwin's dream stops at the basement, where his belief that there humans outside the walls can be proven, while Armin's dream goes even further beyond to the unknown sea. I guess this was meant to show that Erwin's at the end of his line, while Armin has much more ahead of him. Also... Mikasa's anguished tantrum over Armin 💔💔 she'll do anything for her boys 😭

2023-09-30 23:51:02 +0000 UTCThe show doesn’t really focus much on Armin and Mikasa’s relationship , but in this moment when she’s about to lose him we see how much she cares for him. Her and eren have a special relationship but Armin is her best friend too. They grew up together and survived the worst. It’s crazy because Armin is physically the weakest but I don’t think she ever thought she would lose him. It hurt to see her cry like that. They’re my favorite friendship in the show!

Not really MAPPA's fault though, as the AoT committee was wanting to rush things so they had to cut corners. Personally, I would have liked to see WIT take it to the end.

When Levi said, "give up your dream and die". Erwin had been living as a slave, driven solely by that dream, but it seems like Levi completely severed those chains, allowing him to finally experience freedom

Its so funny Toby feels happy about learning about a situation he didn't understand even when it's a very devastating situation, but Jeff wants to understand things emotionally. It ties directly into episode 20 do not miss it. Great Points man about what Armin means to Eren in terms of Eren’s motivation to keep fighting & keep living. If Eren had lost Armin here, I don’t think things would have been good. I don’t think a LoT of the fandom even considers that.
