Multiple recordings a day is quite a rare occurrence.

Really like the presentation for the Alluka flashbacks, so cool! The drawings were really strong in this episode as well.

Jay

they wouldn't die either, I wonder how the mechanics of that would work lol

I like how fun and entertaining hxh arcs are. Each one feels like its own present that is exciting to open and explore, including this new one now. It can go from light to more serious or in between. It always feels fresh every arc 👌🏼 Also love the art direction this episode with the frame and always notice how you integrate them into your thumbnails or your discussion portions. Art!

بدر

i agree 100%

Ryuma

I see some people being critical about the needle aspect and that's fine as evey one has what they like or prefer but I don't agree that it was lazy.I mean it wasn't something out of thing air.The pic was shown a number of times, and also from the way illimi and Silver act towards alluka,It makes sense to imagine killua being upset when they decided to imprison her ,and we all know illumi is a manipulator and they can manipulate all sorts of things(speech, brain to even the dead).I think it was a pretty good reason.Since it makes sense.Chrollo said at the time Uvogin was killed that manipulators could manipulate Uvo,someone as strong as Him,how much more killua who did not know nen then.DO you know if kurapika wanted he could have placed a nen to get Chrollo to forget the troupe as his nen was sealed by chain jail?. Also killua didn't literally forget Alluka ,he said allowed my sister to be put in this situatuion.SO Yes because of the needle manipulating his compasion, actions and will, it makes sense he allowed that for years.

I enjoy the speculation of what the nature of Alluka's abilities are. Up to this point we've been conditioned to think most weird abilities revolve around Nen, but I really like the idea that Nen is just one form of magic in a world full of it. After all, we started the series with magical beasts like the Kirikos and even the Chimera Ants whose inherent abilities exist outside of Nen.

Tortoise Of Legends

I freaking love Alluka. The story needed an incredible character to match up to the insane hype levels of the Chimera Ant arc and here she is. Pure cinema from Togashi.

Exactly, and considering this is a story that is written for decades,it's not like a show or series for a year where everything is put together in a year or 2 and that's that,in addition with living life and his health issues, taking lots of breaks,I dont see how you can call that lazy writing if I leave a certain spot to use for something years down the line.I mean it wasn't something out of thing air.The pic was shown a number of times. And also from the way illimi and silver act towards alluka,It makes sense to imagine killua being upset when they decided to imprison her,and we all know illumi is a manipulator and they can manipulate all sorts of things(speech, brain to even the dead).I think it was a pretty good reason.Since it makes sense. That image with alluka was shown in 2 diferent arcs I think,You can't say Togashi forgot. Chrollo said at the time Uvogin was killed that manipulators could manipulate Uvo,someone as strong as Him,how much more killua who did not know nen then.DO you know if kurapika wanted he could have placed a nen to get Chrollo to forget the troupe as his nen was sealed by chain jail?. Also killua didn't literally forget Alluka ,he said allowed my sister to be put in this situatuion.SO Yes because of the needle manipulating his compasion, actions and will, it makes sense he allowed that for years.

Unrelated to the episode - do you only record one reaction in a day? I noticed your clothes is different each video

I'd just say lazy is a harsh word to use. When writing a story this big (especially as a discovery based story teller like Togashi seems to be), you're inevitably going to run into these kinds of situations. That's not to say i think it's great writing. I'm just saying that i'm doubtful he intentionally didn't feel like bothering with this overly much.

PYROMANIA .

Not gonna lie I expected you to be more critical of the whole needle thing. This episode is something else the way this one made me fear Alluka is insane. The chimera ants are brutal yeah, they will eat you.......but there you can atleast comprehend how you go out. With Alluka you have no idea what is going on and that is super creepy. Not one moment in the ca arc made me feel this way. Also I was really happy that Togashi didn't went with the "another" stronger guy appears that we have to beat like in most other shonen. On the contrary we see something that we can't understand simply cause it so weird and creepy. And at the same time Alluka could have possibly erased the ca with one of her wishes. Would have been wild

Sloopgamer

Lazy is a crazy word to use when talking about Togashi’s writing. And insinuating that he didn’t think of something because you don’t like it is disrespectful to him as a mangaka. Especially considering how much time and effort he puts into this story and how carefully planned out the story is. When everything comes together cohesively and logically within the context of the story, how can you call that lazy? It only seems convenient because it’s so well planned out

Antique-Item

yea it kinda sucks but i think illumi put it a lot more into that needle. it wasnt just "run from tough enemies u cant beat" it was probably more of "dont do anything that will disturb the order of the family" along with that previous command. that dang needle is probably togashi's only "blunder" imo and even then its not as egregious relative to the genre. but honestly i think im like the biggest togashi glazer so dont take anything i say as an unbiased opinion LOL

Ryuma

You mentioned that Alluka looks different in that one shot when Silva is talking about her. Her eyes in specific are black, and she has that static expression. I saw that as representing the way Silva thinks of her. Or maybe it’s just a little stylistic choice to fit the tone, lol Ten episodes to go really is bittersweet. Makes me think back to when you were still in the Hunter Exam arc. What a journey. I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. Also, young Illumi’s style goes hard.

Goop

I love the presentation of Alluka's character introduction in this episode, giving off an almost horror vibe. BTW there's an image that Crunchyroll didn't translate in ep 141, not sure if you already recorded that reaction yet. I wanted to mention it ahead of time as you may want to include it in your discussion. Here's a link to a reddit page that has it translated, just avoid reading any of the comments. You can also google search the image with a basic description but be careful of spoilers:) https://www.reddit.com/r/HunterXHunter/comments/xhy87y/relationship_within_zoldyck_family/

What if chrollo indor fish worked here. The person whom Aluka ask would not feel pain nor die

See, I never got over my complaint of how the needle was handled in episode 96 (?), where Killua pulls it out, literally. So trying to say that the reason Killua forgot alluka was all because of the needle feels kinda lazy to me, like Togashi needed an excuse why he didn't remember. What probably happend was that togashi when drawing that picture of the family purposely left an shadowy figure that he could use later on, but idk if he had alluka in mind then. Lots of mangaka do this, leave things ambiguous so they can come back to it later if they need or want to. Togashi only came back to it after the chimera ant arc, and sort of needed an excuse why Killua didn't remember Alluka, and then used the needle as the plot device. I don't like it. This episode does have some amazing art though, especially the drawing at the bottom right of your collage, what a good drawing of the face.

Helix

Yeah Alluka's power is creepy and it strikes more as she is so cute and innocent asking for it. Happy to see you take Killua side on Alluka gender. Oh and fun fact, some people had already guessed Alluka' name because the Zoldyck siblings have logical names : IlluMI, MIlluKI, KIlluA, AlluKA, KAlluTO.

Mysthe

I'm really bad at noticing music so I love when you point it out and which theme/arc its from!

Mykel

This episode may be in my top 25 just because of how creeped out yet intrigued it made me feel
