2023-04-13 22:46:07 +0000 UTCWhy no option of you like both and can’t decide 😟 part 1 was the setup like the backstory that we always need and it may have left us with more questions but it definitely delivered in the second half which is really when it’s everything she built in part 1 was finally giving fruit so obviously part 2 may seem like the best choice but it wouldn’t have felt so satisfying if we didn’t have the buildup from part 1. I’m curious to know which actor or character stood out to you the most besides the main hero and the main villain which were amazing. To me the supporting side character that stood out to me the most was the photographer mom we got to see her journey and her growth, the character was amazing and the actor portrayed her perfectly. Also the young actors, the actress who played young yeon jin I still remember her facial expressions when she smiled her eyes would get bigger making her look more sinister.

Give part 1 it’s flowers 😅 (But I voted part 2) But it’s unfair for me to choose part 2 alone because of course… its the escalation and the culmination of the amazing writing and tension construction from part 1. With no amazing tensed building up on part 1 there’s no amazing structure and completion on part 2. Voted part 2 because the acting/emotion also escalated, the intensity was superb, and every single one of those actors nailed it. From main cast to supporters to one liners…. From the adults to the kids! 🤌🏽🤌🏽

I really liked the pacing in part 1. 4 episodes and I felt like a good amount of stuff had happened, that we had already gained some important momentum to our story (not usual for a 16 ep Kdrama). BUT ofc part 2 was incredible too, fortunately we got to see what they deserved and we loooved it. I think what make The Glory a great drama is that it had us quite effectively on the edge of our seat in every episode. They perfectly managed the two timelines. The cast is amazing, it was realistic, believable, great lightening, good OST .... great show :)

It wasn't the exact way she wanted things to happen, but it was done. She got all the bullies taken care of by their own faults and problems.

2023-04-13 21:17:44 +0000 UTCThis was hard. Part 2 was fun, but part 1 doesn’t get enough credit in terms of writing. As a novelist and screenwriter, I appreciate the groundwork laid in part 1. Even now, when I watch people reacting to it for the first time, I catch imagery, breadcrumbs, and connected themes. Kim Eun-sook wrote the entire fuck outta this series. Anyway, my answer is part 2.
