The thing that Yeonjin's mother throws at Yeonjin in front of the shamanism place is salt. It's similar to the superstition that throwing salt over your shoulder keeps evil spirits away - in Asian culture, salt is also used as a way to fend off bad luck. For instance, although not really practiced that much anymore in Korea, people would sprinkle salt at the front door of the house after coming back from a funeral. We still sprinkle/throw some salt (actually more often just say that we should) at someone or something that is perceived as bad luck. I thought I'd mention this because you might see salt being used in this way again in the future, at least in Korean or even Japanese dramas/movies.

I had to read a recap to see that the girl bullies wore white shirts in church so that their boobs would show more. Very indecent for church. That is why the older males looked away.

this is the first time both actresses for the older and younger version of the bully have played villains and i have to say they are scarily good at it. usually they play sweet and innocent type characters. still going to recommend watching uncanny counter. hopefully after happiness i guess.

I heard about that and its so sad that we keep getting these stories and people are still bullying and doing atrocious things to people and its worse that it starts with kids and the adults that are supposed to be the ones that can save them are just turning a blind eye to it because if they don't they become the bullied also. It's such horrible situations where its all about the connections you have that if someone dares try to stop you they will suffer, whether it be just losing their job, reputation, or their family may suffer. It seems these teachers are desensitized, they have seen probably many situations that should of been stopped but they may have said something but nothing happened because they don't have the power of someone above who stands with them everyone seems so selfish they rather not get involved as they fear they will suffer the consequences of not fitting in and staying quiet.

I just finished episode 1 ill try to watch with you guys and be patient to watch one episode at a time. I definitely see y'all enjoying Itaewon class and Vincenzo they are revenge dramas but have comedy and romance. If y'all want something different that isint bullying, zombies, killing definitely try Twenty Five Twenty One or Hometown Cha Cha Cha on Netflix for some healing time.

I can never understand how someone can be so evil not only to do bullying but to that extent!!??? But what makes me even more mad than bullies are people who justify them and blame the victim. The episode felt really short, can't wait for the next one. Really good start.
