There's that sequence scene with the writer lady and the "Tactician" gym dude 🤦🏼♀️ But yeah, apart from that specific character...towards the end, some hateful character's arc went and closed well for me.

2023-01-17 18:59:04 +0000 UTCIT IS LAZY!! I told my sister after the first 2 eps "I can't watch this 'till the end😂. When they pulled up her Files on the early episode I was like... "so that's how we're gonna excuse all her bullshit to the end? And as she was so driven to release the real situation status to the public...why not reveal she was immune too?? She kept really quiet about it. All that "people need to know" seemed pretty unrealistic to me. Seemed really forced by the writers, attempting to create tension between the main couple and the military, because they had no real reason to go against whatever the military was doing. And YES you can't tell me that professional law enforcement leaves the only witness with the... But, looking at the full picture I did like his character overall, more than her, he had lows and highs, he was a bit more stirred. I didn't like the end tho. 😅

I’ve written several novels and screenplays and have been reviewing television for nearly 15 years. It’s lazy writing. You can move the plot organically without, “Well, let’s just have her do something reckless”. And lazy writing leads to nonsensical dialogue like when the man who killed his wife taunted the cop by asking, “Do you have a witness?” And he couldn’t answer. Because we all know he did have a witness but he chose to leave that witness alone with the murderer twice… for reasons. I enjoy the show, but it’s not perfect. (Just realized your reply was to Vatti. Disregard.) P.S. I mentioned being a writer because it tends to ward off people thinking they need to explain to me how crafting fiction works when we’re just trying to explain why something does or doesn’t work. 💜

2023-01-16 06:46:43 +0000 UTCthe lead is amazing. i love how she's written. too many kdramas have their leads as these cookie cutter do the right thing and keep in line tropes. both leads in this drama are good people but have their flaws. her 'recklessness' is a character trait that may get them in to trouble sometimes but it also helps to move things along and get things done. one of my favorite written characters.

2023-01-16 04:13:25 +0000 UTCDefinitely here for the reaction, with them everything is enjoyable! To me most of them were no doubt unlikable and with really poor decision-making skills. Including the main lead (she was mostly too selfish and kind of reckless to me. I don't ask for a perfectly righteous female lead, but common...) Even the main male lead made me scratch my head a few times, but I liked him. I can't appreciate the character writing that much (aside from one character in particular), or even the situational writing...I know they were trying to mimic how people are stupid in real life but I finish the series appreciating one acting performance more than everything else (not gonna spoil who). But overall...with this drama, I'm here for the boys!!
