Monmon WIP 3: New ponytail, body and arms patterns

Hello everybunny!

We haven't been able to post anything for a few days, because we've been working on commissions at the same time as we work on the secret project and it's hard to show new things.
Right now we're working on Angel (the furry dog plush), Monmon and the high tier rewards, plus a secret project we can't show for now. We had left commission work aside because of the latter, specially Monmon, but we're getting back to them~

If you remember, we made Monmon's head pattern and embroidery, and a test of the ponytail. But the ponytail was too big, long and thin. So we made another pattern and we like it so much. It's more proportioned!

With this done, we pinned the ears and ponytail to the head and started to work on the body. For it, we used a basic pear shape body. We got a shape we liked in the second test ^^ Now we have to make the final version, with the tummy color blocking.

Next are the arms. The customer wanted the arms and legs floppy, in contras of the big gloves. She also wants the hands to have magnets so it can hold the slingshot.
Since it's a weird shape, we decided to sculpt it and get the base pattern from it (if you've watched our latest classes you know how it works!)

And with this we got a first test that we decided to see how it looked like with the rest of the body. Everything is just pinned and are tests, so it doesn't look perfect. We want to change the glove's shape a bit, and we also have to make the cuff with the rope, but the plush is going the right direction!

Here are some photos of all the parts together. We like how high the ponytail is and the body proportions. We still have work left to do but there are few changes ^^

Hello everybunny!  

Sentimos no haber publicado nada estos días, pero estamos trabajando en encargos a la vez que en el proyecto secreto y es difícil poder traeros novedades.
Pero recapitulando, ahora estamos trabajando en Ángel (el peluche furry perro), Monmon y las recompensas de tier altos, además del proyecto secreto. Habíamos dejado un poco parado el trabajo sobretodo de Monmon, pero ahora volvemos a ello a tope~  

Por si no os acordáis, teníamos el patrón de la cabeza de Monmon, con una prueba de bordado y una prueba del pelo. Pero el pelo era muy grande y no nos convencía del todo la forma. Así que nos pusimos a hacer un nuevo patrón y este si nos gustó mucho y era más proporcionado!  

Hecho esto, pusimos las orejas y pelo a la cabeza con bordado y trabajamos en los patrones del cuerpo. Para el cuerpo usamos un cuerpo básico en forma de pera. A la segunda prueba conseguimos una forma que nos gustaba ^^ Ahora solo quedaría hacerlo en limpio, con el cambio de color de la tripa. 

Seguimos ahora con los brazos. La clienta quería que fueran unos brazos finos y floppys, contrastando con los guantes grandotes. Además, quiere que le hagamos los guantes con imanes para que sujeten su tirachinas.
Como es una forma algo rara, decidimos hacer una pieza de masilla y sacar el patrón base con el que trabajar (ya sabéis cómo funciona este método con las últimas clases que hemos dado!)  

Y así sacamos una primera prueba que decidimos ver cómo se veía en conjunto. Está todo cogido con alfileres y son prototipos, por eso se ven las costuras y algunas arrugas. Y aunque queremos editar un poco la forma del guante y queda añadirle el final que va con una cuerda, este peluche empieza a tomar muy buen camino!  

Os dejamos unas fotos globales de cómo se ve en conjunto. Nos gusta como le queda de altura la coleta y las proporciones del cuerpo. Aún queda trabajar más en ello pero son pocos los cambios que necesita ^^
