Angel OC WIP 2: Working on head test

Before talking about work of the past days, we want to tell you some bad news. Cris's grandad passed away, and Cris will spend the rest of the week in their hometown. That's why we won't be making plushmaking class this saturday and we won't be able to work on commissions until next week. Jenni will stay home working on some repeated plushies like Clodsire, and also working on the Pikachu sewing instructions that we will post next week.
Cris is doing okay, their grandad was very old and everyone in the family expected this to happen anytime. But they need a few days to mourn and process everything.   

Talking about work now, we have started working on the Angel plush. Here are the references again so you can refresh your mind.  As always, we started with the head. The most important part are the long snout and getting a good general shape. It's been a long time since we made a pattern like this (since Keroberos!), so it will be a small challenge.  

We made the first patterns by adding a gusset to the face shape, but we weren't sure about it, because then we would have to divide the mouth embrodiery in to 3 parts. And despite the shape not being wrong, we wanted a slimmer snout. So we decided to go a different path and added a gusset to the forehead and chin, but not the nose and mouth. This way we got a slim snout.   

Here's a first test with the new patterns. We still have to make  changes before we get the right shape, but it's already going in the right direction! And for the embrodiery it will work way better ^^ Next week we will probably get the right pattern.  

Finally, all the drifloon forma the preorder are finished and we will ship them to their new homes! It's always fun to remember the old times making these babies. It's like when we made them in batches for conventions hehehe. These plushies will always be part of our story

Hello everybunny.  

Antes de comentaros un poco sobre el trabajo de estos días, os queríamos comentar una mala noticia. Ha fallecido el abuelo de Cris, y por lo tanto hasta la semana que viene ella estará en la ciudad de sus padres para el velatorio y estar con su familia.
Por ello, no haremos clases de plushmaking beste fin de semana y no podremos avanzar mucho en encargos nuevos hasta la semana que viene. Jenni si que estará trabajando en algunos peluches repetidos, como Clodsire, a la vez que avanzando el tutorial de Pikachu que subiremos la semana que viene.  
Cris está bien, era bastante mayor y la familia lo esperaba. Pero necesita unos días para pasar todo.  

Hablando ahora del trabajo, hemos empezado a trabajar en el peluche de Angel. Os dejamos de nuevo la referencia para que la podáis recordar.
Como siempre, empezamos el peluche por la cabeza. Los elementos importantes para hacerla es trabajar en su largo morro y conseguir una buena forma general. Hace mucho que no hacemos un patrón de este estilo (desde Keroberos!), así que será un pequeño reto.   

Los primeros patrones los hicimos añadiendo una tira  central entera para el hocico, pero no nos convencía ya que entonces deberíamos dividir el bordado de la boca en 3 partes. Y aunque la forma que salió no estaba tan mal, queríamos un morro más esbelto. Así que decidimos ir por otro camino y añadir piezas en la frente y barbilla, pero en el centro del hocico no. Así conseguimos un hocico más perfilado.   

Os enseñamos ahora una primera prueba con el tipo de patrones nuevos. Aún le falta por cambiar para conseguir la forma correcta, pero ya se ve que va por buena dirección! Y a la hora de hacer el bordado, nos irá mucho mejor ^^
La semana que viene seguramente conseguiremos el patrón que buscamos.  


Por último, ya terminamos todos los Drifloon del preorder y esta semana los enviaremos a su nuevo hogar! La verdad es que ha sido divertido recordar viejos tiempos con estos pequeñines. Ha sido como cuando íbamos a eventos a venderlos y hacíamos un montón jeje. Son unos peluches que siempre estarán en nuestra historia.
