Hello Patrons! 💚

After my trip to Vancouver, I felt really inspired to draw from my experience, so I drew a series of paintings: Sea Breeze, Moss Friend, and Steam Clock! Which one is your favourite?

I decided to put aside the colour palette painting and doodled a few ideas based on my photos. 🇨🇦

I wasn’t sure what to name it but since all the paintings looked like spring, I decided to call it springtime! 🌱

I found myself enjoying the process of these mini paintings! It’s a nice break from the backgrounds and full illustrations I usually do.

Sometimes, I feel pressured to produce something really complex and detailed. I need to remind myself that I need to have fun and sometimes even just the simple ideas are also nice to look at. I decided to just have fun with this series and really experiment with the negative space.

I wasn’t able to take screenshots of the process so I uploaded the time-lapse for “Sea Breeze” and “Moss Friend.” I promise I’ll add a detailed process for my next illustration! 😊
