Finished Pikachu plush

Hello everybunny!
Today we bring you our finished Pikachu together with his last WIPs!

In our last post we showed the prototype with the final patterns. We only had to design the embroideries and make the clean version. So when we received the new fabrics we started working! We teared our prototype apart to get the position and size of the embroidery, then we scanned and digitized the pieces. Once the patterns were vectorized, we designed the embroidery.
We doubted if we were getting the eye size and position right, but it turned out great! We got the embroidery perfect at first try! We couldn't believe it hahaha

Usually, in such small plushies, tiny mistakes are more visible than in bigger plushies, so we were happy to see how everything turned out at first try. We decided to make the eyes in the anime style, with brown in the iris. We think he looks more adorable and lively!

We also made the embroidery for the back and tail. Making an applique for such small spikes was a nightmare, but it was worth it haha.

With all the embroideries done, we sewed the rest of the pieces. And when it was just pinned and missing pieces, we were already dying of cuteness. Finally, we thread sculpted the fingers and toes and handsewed the tail.

Today we took the photoshoot of the finished plush. It turned out adorable ;__; We're in love and really proud of the result. Making Pikachu was something we wanted to make at some point, because it's a character loved by all. And in our case, we both started our Pokémon adventures with it, in Kanto. We grew by his side.

Finally, since many of you said you were interested in the patterns, we have decided to give them as a reward this month! We know that you voted for the next patterns to be the Animal Crossing rabbit expansion, but since we had to make Pikachu for a commission, we take the chance and you won't have to wait so long for the next pattern, just like we did with the mini food.
We still have to prepare the sewing instructions and all, so you will have more news in the next days :D Also, the patterns will include both tails (male and female), the normal face and a winking one.

On top of that, we're really tempted to make, in the future, an expansion pack with the Raichu and Alolan Raichu designs, since they're some of Cris's favourite Pokémon. Would you like to have them?

Hoy os traemos a nuestro Pikachu terminado junto a sus últimos WIPs!  

En nuestro último post os enseñamos el prototipo con el patronaje final. Solo faltaba diseñar los bordados y pasarlo a limpio. Así que cuando recibimos la nueva tela hace unos días, nos pusimos manos a la obra! Recortamos nuestro prototipo para sacar la posición y tamaño de los bordados y escaneamos y digitalizamos las piezas. Una vez el vectorizado estaba listo, nos pusimos a hacer el diseño del bordado.
Teníamos dudas de si estábamos acertando los tamaños y la posición de los ojos, así como los demás detalles, pero fue genial! Nos salió el bordado a la primera! No nos lo podíamos creer jajaja.  

Normalmente, en peluches tan pequeños, es fácil que si te equivocas mínimamente se note más que en uno grande. Así que estábamos super contentas de ver lo bien que se veía todo a la primera! Decidimos hacer los ojos como en el anime, con el marrón en el iris. Y creemos que lo hace ver más adorable y vivo!  

También hicimos el bordado de la espalda y la cola. Hacer el aplique de todos esos mini pinchos fue mortal, pero valió la pena jaja.  

Ya con todos los bordados hechos, nos pusimos a coser y montar el resto de piezas. Y aunque tenía todo sujeto con alfileres y piezas sin acabar, ya estábamos muriendo de amor. Para terminar, hicimos el thread sculpt de sus deditos y le pusimos su cola.  

Y hoy hemos hecho las fotos finales! Ha quedado tan adorable ;__; estamos super enamoradas y orgullosas del resultado. Hacer a Pikachu era algo que queríamos hacer en algún momento de nuestra carrera, porque es un personaje que todos queremos. Y en nuestro caso, empezamos nuestras aventuras Pokémon con él, en Kanto. Así que ha crecido a nuestro lado.   

Qué os parece? Os gusta como se ve?   

Por último, dado que muchísimos de vosotres nos dijisteis que os interesaba su patrón, hemos decidido darlo de recompensa para este mes! Sabemos que el siguiente patrón que votasteis es la expansión de vecinos conejo de Animal Crossing, pero ya que el Pikachu teníamos que hacerlo para un encargo, aprovechamos y así no tenéis que esperar tanto para el siguiente patrón, igual que hicimos con la mini comida.
Aún tenemos que preparar las instrucciones y demás, así que en unos días tendréis más noticias :D Además, los patrones incluirán los dos tipos de cola (macho y hembra), una cara normal y una guiñando.   

Además, estamos muy tentadas en hacer en un futuro próximo una expansión del patrón con los diseños de Raichu y Raichu de Alola, ya que son de los Pokémon favoritos de Cris. Os gustaría tenerlos?
