Early Access - FMAB | Reaction & Review 1x1 "Fullmetal Alchemist"

I know this is so long ago however I didn't see this comment and just felt like I had to say something. I actually watched one episode is sub, then the other in dub first so I watched both in dub and sub and I honestly believed the dub voices sounded a lot better to me.

I've watched the first 20 episodes and this is the first time I actually liked it. Maybe I was in the wrong mood or something when I watched it on my own.

this is only because you saw the dub before sub. its the same for me with some anime from back then when i tried to avoid sub´s (which i would never do now lol :D)

I wonder. So many people preferring the dub. Did you first watch it in dub, or did you first watch it in sub and then dub? I have a feeling that perhaps most of the dub advocates started with dub. Because there are quite a few Hollywood movies which I first watched in dub (Japanese dub) and I find them more likeable than original English. Simply because of my first impressions.

Ah its such a pity this isn't in dub. For me this anime is actually better in dub, its one of the few anime's I prefer in dub. I think full mental alchemist brotherhood and ouran host club are the only two anime's I think the dub is better than the sub.

For many it’s one of the best animes. Actually it’s the top rated anime in MyAnimeList. For me, I don’t consider it a masterpiece but I still think it’s so good and worth your time.

If this gets a good reception then I’ll give this series a shot after I finish Jojo’s and will probably watch along. I just haven’t really been interested or motivated for whatever reason

:( i hope he at least tries ep 1 in dub. Normally ima sub purest but the dub just does the manga so much more justice it's not even a competition.

Yep, that was Hange. Pak Mina, voicing Edward Alrick and Hange Zoe. That's one of the things you would've missed in dub lol And yes, the translator strikes again. That woman at the end, talking about Isaac said "He was a human pillar too." That's slightly wrong. She actually said "He could've become a human pillar." And the "he used it all up" line was actually "he used it too much," but I guess there's really not much difference there. Edit: Oh, and the Bradley title... I'm not a fan of the Führer President. His title can be translated literally as "Great Führer," which is also a bit silly sounding in English... Why not just stick to Führer? As he's chief or military first and foremost, it feels weird to call him President. Military command doesn't get elected, you know. Not by any sort of population voting process.
