Everyone, thank you so much for your continued support.
Today, I was supposed to release the monthly illustration/manga. However, I'm truly sorry, but please allow me to take a break this month. I'll apologize as many times as needed. I'm really, really, really sorry!
Actually, since early February, I've been down with health issues. I caught "strep throat"...
Strep throat is basically a cold-like illness that usually affects children. But when adults catch it, it can actually be quite serious... High fever, skin inflammation, and persistent fatigue that just won't go away. I'm still in a state of alternating between sleeping and being awake, far from recovery... To make matters worse, extreme fatigue has affected my vision needed for drawing (my eyesight has become so bad that I can't even see my monitor... (crying)).
I've been working as a manga artist for many years, but this is the first time I've failed to meet a deadline due to health issues, and I feel terribly sorry and frustrated. Once I recover, I hope to work hard again to deliver fun content to all of you.
Depending on my condition, I may need to skip the end of March update as well, and I would be grateful for your understanding.
I'm truly sorry.
I hope you will continue to support me patiently.
Kazuhide Ichikawa
P.S.: I'll at least share fragments of illustrations I was struggling to work on from my sickbed. There were so many sexy older men appearing in winter anime that I felt I absolutely had to draw them. Master Waltz and the Count from "Reincarnated Old Man." Guildmaster Benwood from "Aiming for the Deepest Part of the Dungeon with Former Students." I also wanted to draw Glen from "I Don't Want Overtime..." And though it's in the second season, Chairman Go from "Solo Leveling." Ah, it was truly a bountiful season for steamy hot OYAJI daddies! I really wanted to draw them... (crying).
P.S.2: With this strep throat incident, I realized that the consequences of pushing my body to the limit while drawing manga/illustrations in my 20s and 30s have finally caught up with me. During the time when I was also a company employee, I would stay up all night working on my projects and fall asleep (I think I actually passed out... (laughs)) in the company's document storage or on the stairs... It wasn't good to keep drawing living up to the slogan "Can you fight 24 hours a day? (this was a famous TV commercial copy in 80s-90s in Japan) If anyone is currently doing this, please be careful. I call myself "Forever 18!" but in the world of mobile games like FGO, I'd be in the elderly Servant grandpa group, so I was confronted with the harsh reality that I can't push myself anymore... sigh.
