Finished Giant Clodsire plush

Today we can finally show you the finished giant Clodsire!! We're really proud and excited ;__;

A summary of what we did, is that once we finished the 50cm test, we resized the embroidery files and did some changes to them. When resizing embroideries they sometimes need them, because they don't work the same way. For example, the feet embroidery in the small Clodsire are straight lines, but on the big one, they are a satin stitch.

After making the changes we needed, we started to make the embroideries and sewing. And after a couple days sewing and a long time stuffing, the precious baby was ready!
We're very happy and surprised that it turned out so good. We were afraid that the embrodiery or shapes would get lost when resizing it, but it was the opposite, it looks as good as the small version. It's cool to compare the photos of both sizes and see that they are so alike hehehe

The only downside is that at the end we had to discard the idea of the removable spikes. Since mochi is so stretchy and the pieces so big, the ribs fell. The magnets kept them attatched to the plush, but because of the weight and stretchiness of the mochi, instead of looking up, they fell to the sides. With minky this doesn't usually happen, but we already suspected that it would with mochi. The solution would've been to sew them to the body, but then we'd loose the main idea of the plush, which was it to be cuddly and squishy. So we simply decided to leave it this way. You will still have the patterns for both sizes, that work with both minky and mochi ^^
Maybe in the future we try to make the spikes with a minky version, who knows.

With that said, we just have to finish preparing the sewing instructions. We will post them before the month ends, as always announcing them with a Patreon post :)

As a last thing to say, we want to tell you that this little guy already has an owner, and for now we don't plant to make more of this size, we're a bit saturated hahaha. But we can repeat him as a commission in the future!

Hello everybunny! Esperamos que tengáis una semana maravillosa ^^  

Hoy por fin podemos enseñaros al Clodsire gigante acabado!! Estamos super orgullosas e ilusionadas ;__;  

Repasando un poco lo que hicimos, una vez hecha la prueba de 50 cm, escalamos el bordado e hicimos algunos cambios. Los bordados a veces deben editarse si cambian de tamaño porque no funcionan igual. Por ejemplo, en las patas, el bordado original era una línea. Y al hacerlo grande, lo hemos cambiado por una puntada satinada. 

Después de hacer los cambios necesarios, nos pusimos a bordar y coser a tope. Y tras dos días cosiendo y un buen rato rellenando, ya teníamos al precioso bebé listo! Estamos super contentas y sorprendidas de lo bien que ha quedado. Nos daba miedo que el bordado y la forma se perdieran, pero al contrario, se ve igual de bien que su versión pequeña. Es gracioso ponerse las fotos al lado para comparar lo iguales que están jeje.  

Lo único malo es que al final hemos tenido que eliminar el detalle de los pinchos. Y es que al ser una tela tan elástica y ser piezas tan grandes, las costillas quedaban caídas. Los imanes las sujetaban, pero por el peso y la elasticidad de la mochi, cedían y se veían bajas. Con la minky no hay tanto problema, pero ya nos temíamos que la mochi pudiera dar este problema. La única solución hubiera sido añadir más imanes, estructuras o coserlos al cuerpo, pero entonces perdíamos la idea principal del peluche; que fuera blandito y achuchable. Así que simplemente hemos decidido dejarlo así, que ya se ve super bonito. E igualmente vais a tener patrones para dos tamaños y compatibles con minky y mochi ^^ quizás en el futuro probamos por curiosidad como funciona la idea de los pinchos en minky.

Dicho esto, ahora nos queda acabar de preparar las instrucciones de costura. Un par de días antes que termine el mes las subiremos, avisando como siempre con un post por aquí :)

Como última cosa, queremos avisaros de que este pequeñín ya tiene dueño, y que en principio no queremos repetirlo de momento, estamos algo saturadas jajaja. Pero no descartamos repetirlo por encargo en el futuro!
