So, this month's "MONTHLY NAUGHTY" is a sequel to the previous one. The "with-text" version will be released after tomorrow. Forgive me!
Also I'm sorry that I couldn't update my manga in November. I also haven't updated my SNS such as Twitter. I'll be busy until mid-December, and then I'll publish my manga again. I promise.
Well, November has been a bit of a mixed bag for me. Oh, but it's not negative at all! After I decided to participate in Winter Comiket, I looked back at the manga I had already prepared, and I found there were some things I wanted to update. I was redrawing the manga in a hurry.
I also had to think about what I do create. Oh, and again, this was not a negative case of "I don't want to draw anymore!" or "I'm going to stop drawing and give it up!" Please don't worry. I love drawing manga and illustrations, and they are my life. I've never thought of a life without drawing comics and illustrations, and I can't imagine that (LOL).
The things I thought about in November was how drastically everything got changed in last 20 years.
After more than 20 years of drawing comics for gay magazines, I recently often feel how much the values of our world have changed. For example, in the 90's in Japan, being gay was still something that had to be kept secret or else it would be a social disaster, but nowadays, people are frankly talking about LGBT+, gay marriage, and so on (although there are some things that will never change). This is also the case in the English-speaking world, where the gay people portrayed in TV dramas in the 1990s are completely different from the gay people portrayed in 2020s.
Well, in November, I've been thinking about such trivial things. To be honest, whenever I start thinking about this kind of thing, I tend to stay indoors (lol). It's like I go deep inside myself. That's my bad habit. Anyway, I should write more about this kind of "backstage confession" HERE and this also should be the place for that. I'll do my best (LOL)
Oh, but while I was thinking about the above, "change in values" topic, I finally realized that those "days of the fierce battles" with the Japanese gay magazines were already over. I drew gay manga for the Japanese gay magazines for more than 20 years. To be honest, those days were not peaceful at all. The evaluation was totally different 20 years ago. Can you believe they didn't want me to draw manga at that time??????LOL I wanted to make them put my manga on their gay magazines. Then, endless battles LOL. Well, those days are over now. When I realized it in November, I just realized how stressful I had been for more than 20 years. Yeah, more than 20 years LOL.
That was my November.
