😘Dear diary,

I was looking for some old drawing interesting enough to share with you today, and I found that I had already studied the early Nineteenth century fashion for another project. Look at the date of this drawing: 2013. At that time Webtoon didn’t exist at all and I had published a couple of comics in paper for franco-belgian publishers (in Spain the comic industry is not very strong and I had to try my luck outside my country).

That project was quite alright, in my opinion, but it was rejected and never saw the light of the day. And it’s okay, that’s the average life of an average comic book author. The good thing about rejected projects is that you can recycle already fleshed out characters and situations into new projects. In this case, I think I’m going to steal the hairstyle of the girl in the sketch for the protagonist of The New Project (among other things).

Estaba buscando algún dibujo interesante que compartir hoy con vosotros y me he encontrado con que ya estuve estudiando la ropa de principios del siglo XIX para otro proyecto. Mirad la fecha del dibujo: 2013. En aquel momento Webtoon no existía en absoluto, y yo había publicado un par de cómics en papel para editoriales franco-belgas (en España la industria del cómic no es muy fuerte y tuve que intentarlo fuera de mi país). 

El proyecto era bastante chulo, en mi opinión, pero fue rechazado y nunca vio la luz. Y no pasa nada, así es la vida promedio de la autora de cómic promedio. Lo bueno de los proyectos rechazados es que puedes reciclar personajes ya concretados y situaciones en nuevos proyectos. En este caso, creo que voy a utilizar el peinado que lleva la chica del dibujo para la protagonista del Nuevo Proyecto (entre otras cosas).
