So this sucks.
Added 2024-08-06 19:04:13 +0000 UTCI am aware that a solid 80% of my content is now no longer available. Every single video that was being hosted on Vimeo has been deleted by them without warning. It's too complicated to explain in a text post, but essentially I was changing my membership plan and in the one day between my old plan ending and my new plan starting, they deleted everything because I wasn't paying for enough storage. For that one day. I am praying that the videos are not gone forever and that they don't perma-delete mass amounts of content in 1 day without warning. I mean, there's no way they'd do that right?
I reached out to them at 7am this morning and still nothing. I'll keep you guys updated. If everything comes back, yay! But if not, I'm not really sure how I'm going to handle it yet.

2024-08-06 20:11:21 +0000 UTChaha true! i like that it feels like they’re actually very supportive of their creators. yeah, it’s a bit like when you premiere a video on youtube. so people can comment and react while the drop is happening and then afterwards if people missed it/want to rewatch then they can just watch it like a normal upload :)

2024-08-06 20:01:24 +0000 UTCone of the creators i follow just got fucked by onehub and they’re now claiming they’re not a “video sharing website” when they literally are lmao but they’re just trying to get rid of any youtube creators on there, it’s crazy. they’ve just moved to dropbox and things seem to be going well for them so far so hoping things stay that way. 🤞🏼😅

2024-08-06 20:00:07 +0000 UTCyeah, they really are so bad! everyone is drawn to them because they’re just the biggest known name but there are alternatives with better pricing options. just certain places you have to be more careful with copyrighted content (more the movies than the albums). it’s mostly fine but if you get a claim they usually take it pretty seriously so just be cautious of that 😌
