Lets just call them the harmony brothers

ranking of the 6 albums as of now: 1. happiness begins (2019) 2. a little bit longer (2008) 3. lines, vines and trying times (2009) 4. the album (2023) 5. jonas brothers (2007) 6. it's about time (2005). they were supposed to release an album V in 2013 but they never did because of the breakup but they released a few songs as singles and two other songs leaked after the breakup lol and they know but they have never performed those songs live except for wedding bells and the two singles they did...

the album as a whole i'm still proccessing because it's different especially coming off happiness begins which is just bunkers, but again since 2019 they're just evolving so much and bringing everything together with joe and nick sounds with their solo projects for nick and dnce for joe and the jonas' sound which has evolved since they started...their earlier two albums are pretty much rock pop punk apart because they were still so young especially nick and his voice has grown the most but joe as well has grown so effing much as a vocalist and as writers..they have written their music since the beginning even when nick was 12 he already was writing music with their dad and them as teens... they remind me a lot of paramore in their earlier days and in the sense that they write as family and with close collaborators (their live band has been with them since day one back in 2005-2006 literally and two of them now work in production and such instead of being musicians but are still there and the drummer has been with them since day 1 and is on dnce with joe too) since the beginning and keep their cards on their sleeves a lot...jon did an amazing job producing and understood them as a unit and worked so well together like ryan teddler did in their last album before this one... my faves from this album are little bird, walls and waffle house...waffle house is about their dynamic as family as teens when they couldn't go out anywhere because of their age and their best moments as family on those days are when they were in waffle houses on tour...little bird are about their daughters (nick has 1, joe and kevin have two each) those little girls are the luckiest ever...

Oh and I think someone touched on it already, but the main girl in the Wings video is Haley Lu Richardson (She's in the show White Lotus) and she's a massive Jonas Brothers fan. She was surprised with a FaceTime call from Nick when she was on a latenight talk show a few months back and they asked her to be in the video for Wings. I believe it was filmed before one of their shows in Vegas back in February and it's supposed to be her and her friends getting ready for the show and, as they're getting ready to head down to the venue, they happen to see the guys in the elevator and the video ends with them freaking out after the doors close. It's a super cute video :) And yes the building in the Waffle House video is Royal Albert Hall, the same where 5sos did their One Night Only show for 5sos5. They did their own One Night Only for The Album last month! The song as a whole touches on their early days as a band, when they weren't old enough to go to bars after a show and the only thing open after they played shows would be waffle house and they've touched on in multiple interviews as it being a place where they'd have conversations of all kinds and where they could come together as a family. The lyric "no don't get stressed, it's gonna get figured out." is sort of a mantra for them too :)

i've been a fan of them since 2006 right before they release their second self titled album in 2007 and they signed to hollywood records and became known, they have an album called it's about time from 2005 which isn't available on spotify except for year 3000 but it even has the first version of a song from their a little bit longer abum from 2008 called please be mine which they wrote and recorded when nick was 12, joe 15 and kev 17. i've been wanting you to react to them because they're so talented and have always been before disney and before all that and have been such an inspiration to me since early early on...so i'd love for you to react to them since the beginning... they've been through so much and the 6 years they took apart helped them to where they're now in their lives as brothers, husbands and fathers <3 and i'm so proud of them and what they've achieved...you should really react to their documentary from 2019 they released on prime video after the release of their album happiness begins and also they did a concert film also on prime of that tour and explaining more about their process from reuniting and creating that album and stuff and they had already grown so much individually and as a band but these 4 years have shown that even more...

Hi, longtime Jonas Brothers fan here (since their self-titled album days all the way back in 2007). I might be biased, but I think this is the best they've ever sounded vocally. I heard the majority of this album live at a secret show they did in LA a few weeks ago just before the album came out (aside from Miracle, Summer In The Hamptons and Americana) and I was absolutely obsessed with the way it sounded in a live setting. My favorites change all the time, but right now, Montana Sky, Summer Baby, Vacation Eyes, and Sail Away. As a cohesive project from top to bottom, I love it so much and it's up there as one of my favorite projects from them ever. Little Bird tugs at my heartstrings in the best way possible because it talks about their parenthood journey and it's sort of an ode to their daughters (all of them are girl dads. Nick has one and Joe and Kevin each have two. Kevin also has bird tattoos on his arm representing him, his wife and their two daughters. He was the first of the group to get married and start a family). Vacation Eyes, as Kevin has said in interviews before, is inspired by the way he and his wife met (both were on separate family vacations in the Bahamas, if memory serves me correctly). Joe and Nick's vocal ranges on this album have improved vastly over the years since I've been a fan. They're the ones that do the majority of the singing in the group, but Kevin will sometimes contribute a little bit here and there. It's the best cruising/road trip/just driving around town/beach day kind of an album. If you're interested in learning more about them as a group, I'd recommend checking out their Amazon Prime Documentary, Chasing Happiness. To see them in a live setting, they have a concert film, also on Amazon Prime, that was filmed back in 2019 on their reunion tour, Happiness Begins, that supported the album of the same name released the same year. I think it gives a really good insight to them as performers. I would be happy to see you give this group that I've adored for many years a chance :)

I’m surprised though that you put summer in the hamptons above celebrate 😯

“They can sing!” I also thought they couldn’t sing this well either haha. I think earlier in their career a music producer told them to sing with a vocal fry like Britney Spears and it never showed their actual vocal range

Hey Caitlin, I’d definitely suggest you check out Happiness Begins. It’s their comeback album and deals with themes of growing up, growing back together, and their relationships with their wives. The sounds and topics and lyrics are more in line with Little Bird, Walls, and Vacation Eyes, which seem to be your favorites on this one. Their documentary Chasing Happiness is also a great one if you find yourself more interested in their story :)

This album was definitely a grower! For some reason with their music lately they don’t enunciate the words and lyrics properly and that just really irritates me, but the more you listen to this album the more the songs make sense. And I agree, it’s not groundbreaking by any means but it is just a FUN album and perfect for driving with the windows down during summer, and that’s okay! Their previous music (yes, when they were signed to Disney) still remains my favorite works by them. They had their own sound back then with their first four albums and someone between the solo careers and other musical projects they’ve landed with the commercial pop. But I would recommend giving their older albums like Jonas Brothers (self-titled), A Little Bit Longer, and Lines Vines and Trying Times, a fair listen!

I was underwhelmed with this album overall. Don't get me wrong, I was dancing and grooving, but I also expected more from them after teasing they had enough music for another album soon after Happiness Begins....which was out in 2019. I have been a fan for a while, so i just think I'm not in the honeymoon phase anymore and can be pickier. I am so glad you enjoyed their vocals and the vibe though! They have come so far 😘

Also your facial reaction to Summer in the Hamptons on that one line was all of us hearing it for the first time Caitlin. 😂👏🏼💯

So the inside joke in a way for the Wings music video is that Haley Lu Richardson the lead girl in the video is a huge fan of the guys and after she was surprised with a FaceTime from Nick on Jimmy Fallon they asked her to be in the video and the whole concept is getting ready before the concert from what they’ve mentioned before. Just the fun pre-party before hand. Also watching you react to this made my whole day. I’ve been a fan of the boys for over 18 years since they pretty much started, and I loved getting to watch you experience this album and love it. If you don’t remember Happiness Begins much in full I highly recommend you checking it out again, and I also think you’d like getting more of the backstory in their reunion documentary making the album as well Chasing Happiness over on Amazon Prime too. And that album has a few more slower songs too. Just a future recommendation for you. 🫶🏼💙

Renee

Yes the building for the end of the Waffle House video was the Royal Albert Hall where 5sos played for ONO ❤️
