Is Asmodeus Toby? If not, maybe they're setting up for a demon war kind of situation. Like Katie and Christie's family/coven got Toby in their demon lottery, meanwhile others got other demons. Maybe if they're all being released in human bodies, they about to all out brawl for supremacy. -- now that's an interesting take on apocalypse

In the other movies you can find out he can time travel. In "ghost dimension" and "marked ones" this is how he creates his demon army. This could very well be how the whole franchise actually begins

2023-03-11 00:45:42 +0000 UTCThis one just missed the mark on too many levels for me to enjoy it. The fact that the cinematography was so stellar is one of the problems with this film. As they are filming it shows editing that would typically all be done at the end of a documentary style film. BUT you can convince me to suspend belief in this regard if the buildup and creep factor is done well. I just didn't feel that in this movie. Not to mention, there were jumpscare audio cues that just don't belong in a found footage movie. The regular paranormal series had the night time footage where with each passing day, the paranormal activity escalated slightly. Though this had date markers, it just didn't really build in the same way for me. It had most of the constituent parts necessary for a found footage movie, but they just didn't come together for me. Plus this new demon Asmodeus didn't have that ominous presence like Toby did if that makes sense. It was a great effort, but I guess I'm just particular when it comes to found footage and especially any movie with Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity name attached to it. I will give you this Caitlin: It was directed by Christopher Landon. If you don't know who he is, there are two horror films you absolutely must watch by him. They are not found footage and they are nothing like Midsommer. They are not like any of the typical horror movies out there. They are called Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2 U. Absolute must watches. I will up membership by ten dollars a month if you don't absolutely love these two films!!! You can hold me to it. In case you need a little more enticement, Christopher Landon also directed Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones
